activity report.

Post by hojo1222 »

Well, I just received my annual activity report for 2012. My wife and I only go to one casino here in Michigan, so it was interesting to see what the number were. We only play .25 and go almost every week. I was starting to think like a lot of others about the machines being fixed, mostly because of losing streaks. I know from past records that I would end up o.k. at the end of the year if I continued to play good machines and played as correct as I personally could. We played the same bank of machine all year, changing sometimes from DDB 99.95% to NSUD 99.97%. In the end we put $623,370.00 dollars in and $621,769.00 dollars out so -1600.00 dollars. We received $3240.00 in free play, stayed 30 nights free, $480.00 free food vouchers, and went to a few free concerts. So I guess its not a bad hobby for an old retired guy. From reading about others on here, I feel very lucky to be able to play such high percentage machines where we live. If we stop at one of the new casino's and don't find anything good percentage wise we just play a couple 20's and get back in the car and don't go back. I know it sounds boring to always go to the same place, but if isn't broke don't try to fix it. Hoping 2013 is good to all, go hit a royal.

that is an awsome report! if I could keep track of our finances like that we'd have a million bucks in the bank! of course a million ain't what it use to be,lol. glad you are having fun, we like to do the same thing, but we do go to different casinos. my hubby hit a royal in Toledo Ohio at the new Hollywood Sat, I came home with my usual empty pockets. ah, but the year is young. good luck to you and your wife and to all of you vp nuts out there!! kati

hojo,
Nice report. We don't find it boring at all going to the same casino 95% of our trips. We know which machines' buttons work best, where the speakers are too loud, etc. We have made a number of friends with the regulars and casino staff. We know which rooms have the best AC, the softest pillows, and which floors to request that have housekeeping staff that are quiet when they are cleaning other rooms - for those sleeping late stay over days. We can think of worse things to do when you retire. Besides being able to go at the beginning/middle of the week means greater access to machines.

It was interesting to see the casino gives you a coin-in/coin-out total. We find that data is much more valuable to us than the Win-Loss amount but we have to ask for it from marketing every year. CI/CO gives a better annual comparison of our play. Hoping those royals come to all of us this year.

Those are very nice pay tables, and a nice annual result as well. I wonder what the person who posted, on another thread, that 9/6/4 double bonus is a better pay table than "all of the Michigan casinos" thinks of them?

perhaps somewhere in the state of Michigan's gaming regs there is a blurb or two about casinos providing this type of info as a requirement of doing business, I know most states except Nevada REQUIRE something along this line, but Nevada does not.....however, most Nevada casinos will provide this info on request simply because, well, it is good customer policy.   Here in Massachusetts we are in the process of getting three casinos spread throughout the state, two in the east and one here in western massachusetts (possibly just a few miles down my street if MGM wins its proposal for a resort right in Springfield!)  The states gaming regs are being hammered out and one of the features is a very detailed law requiring the casinos to provide players with won/loss reports in a (quote) "easily accessible and clear manner"..... Most casino websites have this info available now online so I guess that is about as easy and clear as it can get, but they usually just tell you wins and losses (often restricted ONLY to w-2 wins and losses), so the info is often incomplete or even useless.  I have never been given reports of my coin versus coin out, only profit loss, and NEVER have I had my free sh*t conveniently sumarized for me..... Instead I keep track of all this myself, all of it, coin in coin out, free nights, food and travel bonuses.  I've been doing this since 2003.....only two years did I ever turn a straight profit without including free stuff, but if I include free stuff, my lifetime of video poker going back to 2003 has me down about 6 grand lifetime, spread out over 10 years thats pretty friggin affordable, much more so than crack n hookers.....gigglesnort har har har

Both Caesars/Harrahs and MGM Int'l, the two large casino groups that I am most familiar with, provide online win/loss yearly reports that include ALL bets (not just W2G wins) that have been tracked with your Players Card, including table games if you are rated.

That's pretty darn good, I fared about the same at Isle but here's an annual activity report at what I consider to be the worst casino ever. The best payback percentage to found in this area is 98.98% which is what I played with a little 97.87% mixed into the mix.
Dollars In: $659,909    Dollars Out including W2-G's: $628,452

Not very pretty is it?
