Very nice!  A Royal of any denomination is a beautiful thing.  Congratulations.

Thanks much all. Bought a car today. 2005 Corolla LE for a good price. A few minor details to be worked out, but I'm sure it will be fine!

Back to the original post: I travel a lot and during the past several decades I have discovered that Enterprise is head and shoulders above the competition. I always try to book with them... great service, cheerful service, decent rates, and --- most importantly --- they don't overbook during holiday periods! I do realize that when you are in a complex business such as car rental there are always going to be a few quirks and bugs so not everyone is going to be a satisfied Enterprise customer, but overall I have been so impressed with them over the years. I cannot say the same for Budget, which lost my business after overbooking on two consecutive occasions, causing long and unnecessary waits --- not to mention their crappy service and horrible attitude.

Way to go, Luv.

As far as rental car companies, I still use Hertz, with which my company had a corporate agreement. Although retired, I still have the premium status with them, and I still get the corporate rates. If something goes awry, they seem to respond to one of their premium status renters pretty well. Of course, when needed, I can scream with the best of them.

I've always liked Enterprise, and I can't complain about $40 from Friday noon til Monday noon. Bought a great car for a good price. Aside from the dealer taking a 5000 draw from my checking a/c in addition to the 500 I authorized and refusing to replace a strut, I'm happy. Speaking of screaming, BJ, I did send them a very sharply worded email which I would be happy to forward to you!!
