Wins on free play.

Long time reader, first time poster. Mostly play 50 cent single line DDB and if I hit anything early, I occasionally switch to $1. Normally go a couple times a month and use my own money, however, sometimes I will go and eat a comped buffet, play and cash out whatever weekly free play I get. When I do this, I do not play any of my own money when I go just to play my free play. Just wanted to share a couple of stories of free play as I've heard some people around different casinos I've been in say a person can never win on free play. I usually get 15 dollars a week of free play at the casino I normally visit and a lot of times, I will play it and cash out $10-12. Covers my fuel there, right? I usually play my $15 free play on 25 cent DDB or 12 hands. Today, I went to just play my free play today and walk out when on the last free play hand, I got four 6's. I cashed out a total of $65. I have a bigger story. This past December, a casino remodeled their current building and had sent me a 25 dollar free play coupon in which I played 50 cent DDB with it. I cashed out $12.50 on that. I then noticed I had $5.00 in downloadable points that I could transfer over as free play. I didn't know when I'd be back so I downloaded the $5.00 and switched the machine over to 25 cent DDB...and the first hand got dealt KQ10J of clubs...I drew the Ace for the royal...on free play. I have a picture of it on my cell phone as well as a lot of other pics of 4OAK's, and 3 more royals, but I can't figure out how to transfer them to here....so to make a long story short...no matter if it's just $5.00 free play and if your close to that particular casino at the time...play it no matter if you here people grumble and rumble that a person can't win on free play!!

Cool, DZ. I love FreePlay wins. I am a NOIR player @ MGM properties, and receive $1000 a month in FreePlay from The Beau Rivage in Biloxi, which is my closest casino. I have had many wins while in FreePlay mode, so I agree, it certainly can happen.

I did that a couple times.  $15 free play.  Played 50 hand nickels and picked up a royal.  On another one I was playing 50 hand Ultimate X and got AAAA2 x 10 for 20,000 nickels.  The trick is to cash out and leave.  Congrats on your luck!  Post pics when you can.  WE LOVE PICS!

I have played tons of free play and have won only one time out of probably a couple of hundred. I was offered 350 in free play at the Venetian. I played a 2dollar triple play triple double machine just outside the high limit area. Last pull I hit four aces with the kicker for 8K dollars, it was the best start I have ever had in Vegas. However this is the only time I remember winning a significant amount out of the hundreds of free plays I have used. So it can happen, just don't expect it.
