Never had the Harrahs buffet, but I'll take your word for it.....I have generally avoided Buffets for the last 10 years, even the super - duper awesome ones like the Rio and Bellagio, simply because I can only eat so much before it gets downright PAINFUL, and even with a comped buffet you always feel obligated to pig out because, well, that is the whole point of Buffets right???   Ironically, if a buffet is actually on the SMALL (limited) side in terms of size, I will be more likely to indulge because it is manageable and less tempting to eat until it hurts! In AC, Caesars Buffet is one such example of a smaller, limited buffet....Showboat's French Quarter is NOT limited, but in fact is a full blown 4 alarm garbage dump!   Honestly, in Vegas, of all the Buffets around, including the legendary Bellagio and Rio's, the one I was always partial to was the Mirage....and of course, during the 90s into early 2000, the Golden Nugget downtown had a awesome Breakfast buffet, I still get nostalgically misty eyed when I think back to getting up early in the A.M. on a cool March day in the middle of the NCAA Basketball Tourney early rounds, before the first games start at 9:30 a.m, and enjoying a awesome breakfast at the Golden Nugget Buffet!! My apologies to Billy joe for hijacking his thread about VP during super bowl, and turning it into the FOOD NETWORK.....but hey whats the point in playing in the casinos if not to earn all kinds of food credit anyway?
