I am grateful to be here and see how the best players here discuss things.  I'd like to add a little bit of my research, and I'd like a few comments.  I've only been at this for 18 months.  At the Wizard of Odds, you can calculate the hypothetical dollar return given their calculations.   What I have discovered is that Bonus Poker Deluxe has the best return.  I don't wish to keep this a secret, for, it may not be, and, I may be wrong.  But, it seems to me that it does.   Only one example:  There are over 1.6 Trillion possibilities in standard poker.  There is a slight variance in Royal Flush, Full House, Flush, 3 Kind, 2 Pair, and Pair.  But, I calculated (if I did so correctly) the return on the 4 of a kind plays for a few games.  After doing two, one can eyeball the numbers and see what is what.  Well, here is my result: Bonus Poker Plus:  400 Prize, occurring every 423 hands:  $1.57 Trillion DD Bonus Poker:    Variable 4 of a Kind Prizes, the Total:   $1.33 Trillion There are,  of course, 1.6 Trillion possibilities. I invite conversation.

Compared to DDB, yes, BPDlx has a better payout IF the full house/flush payouts are the same. This isn't usually the case on many multi-game machines. Fortunately for casinos, DDB often has the lowest payouts of all the "full-pay" machines. Also for true video poker "addicts", 80 for 1 often isn't satisfying enough for a 4 of a kind.

Too bad STP does not offer TDB - you sure have a thing with Aces. WTG...

TDB may not exist for STP. However, it DOES exist for Double STP! Also a 9/7 TDB would payback 100.08% if it unlikely exists. But TDB w/DSTP does exist in Tunica at Tunica Roadhouse as a 3/5 play at 2c/5c/10c levels. It only pays 9/5 though (97.51%).

Since Roveers hits clearly show that a casino could conceivably take a real bath/beating with these multi line Video Poker variants, it is just inconceivable to me that the casinos would put these games in and around the floor without there being some huge edge or factor that we players dont know about programmed into the game(s) .... it is NOT just a RNG selecting cards, there is some sort of weighted disadvantage to the players' hands or something,,,,,!

A 2.94% edge isn't huge enough for a machine that will just sit there and take on all comers? If roveer plays a leisurely 600 rounds/hr of $1 10-play, then the machine has an average payday of $1058/hr!!!! Man I wish I could rake in over a grand an hour! Remember a bad hour at this play level (few multipliers, no big hits with multipliers) will easily cost a player $5000, and that would be an 86.11% return over 600 rounds of 10-hand STP poker, which is not unheard of.

And that assumes everyone plays perfectly, which is totally not true. Probably more DDB players play 2 pair with a pair of Jacks, Queens, or Kings incorrectly than correctly. It is easily the most common mistake I see among video poker "neighbors". To remind everyone, going for a full house is correct in DDB with 2 pair unless you have a pair of Aces.

I've just let my trainer work those bugs out.  it's muscle memory for me at this point which is a good thing.  I agree, watching some of the stuff that others do is enough to make one go screaming.  Here's a good one, a lady playing Deuces gets 2 decues and it shows (3OAK), so she holds the 2 deuces and a 3rd card to get her...  3OAK!!!  Whoofa...  Then again, I wonder what my play looked like back in 1995 when I sat down at my first VP machine.  I can remember in the early years, sitting at the machine thinking about which hand would be better.  Now, it's not even a question, just execute.  Of course (as I mentioned in another post), there are still a few pesky hands that I can't seem to conquor, but now that I've got most of it down it's time to get those last bunch of hands committed to memory. Roveer

Well the only time I have hit 5 Aces on Bonus Deuces Wild was by holding 22A (which is the correct play). But I'm assuming it wasn't that game/hold though in your story.
