Re: Players who don't show emotion...
Inwardly, I'm jumping up and down. Outwardly, I'll usually just give a big grin or maybe a "yah buddy" or two. I'll agree with several other posters here thatl usually you have to work so hard for the jackpots that all you feel when you do get one is relief and exhaustion.

Roveer, I am positive you have probably seen me whizzing around at least once in AC, but I have no idea who you might be....If harrah's is your primary playiground, that explains some of it, I only venture to harrah's if the weather is good, warm and its early in the day when the jitney is running fairly smooth. I wheel around under my own power (not a power chair or scooter) and often have a hat that says either Da Burgkar or UMASS which covers my shaved head. I wheel fast so if you do see someone that looks like me, yell real fast and LOUD (cuz I also have hearing aids)....either that or throw something at me, like a orange or ball of tinfoil (crumple up your hat ha ha).....

while trying to be in my normal state of mind today playing (i normally dont make it out during a weekday afternoon), the "older" crowd was in abundance. two elderly gentleman to my right were conversing for about 20 minutes about one of their prostate surgeries - and how nice it is that he doesnt have to pee every 20-30 minutes.
god bless sir, i could only laugh and hope i'm that happy at his age playing vp and not having to pee...
THIS is the reason I wear my Bose headphones with my I-POD. Can't hear a thing. I also can't hear you BUTTON SLAPPERS. Geez, is that irritating! The only thing worse is the button slapper who is smoking in my face talking about his prostate! Headphones look stupid but I couldn't do without them.

headphones are fine, i wear them too to avoid the button slappers / moaners / groaners / people who like to ask to have the volume turned up to max on their machine so everyone can hear their 250 quarters ring up while they take a drink of water ever so slowly...
i wear in ear headphones - just dont wear the monster beats, or these;

I've worn ear plugs in the past to block out all the noise. Especially in casinos that INSIST on playing music so loud that you walk out with your ears ringing.About button slappers...I do my best not to slap the buttons but I've found machines that you have to slap or the dumb buttons don't work. Seems that some casinos don't take care of their machines like others do. Bad touch screens are another annoyance.

I thought we had the only slapper in the world located in these parts, the guys a real life dork, he wears a headband, wristbands and a sony walkman while he literally beats the tar out of the machine.
