I was jamming away on the FPDW machine at the Palms trying to book a royal for the trip. The machine kept dealing me 3 deuces and I broke even on it with a few wild royals, so I alternate between that and the 50 line game. Got about 10-15 royals (I lost count after a while), by first getting 2 from a 4 card with high pair, then 2 from another 4 to a royal. I also got a few just by holding 3, then a whopping 4 more from another 4 to a royal. It was only worth 40 bucks a pop (I was playing pennies), but it was really nice to finally see that purple outline with 4000 credits!

Too bad the table games killed me and I am down for the trip, but it's always nice to see royals when you least expect it (anything less than 4 to a royal) and when you do (4 to a royal). Tried to grind out a dealt for $2k but didn't get close.

A royal always makes the hours worth it. It's always fun to share with a nice neighbor if we were talking beforehand and both of us were trying for it.
