Bizarre Luck 4/5-6/13

Post by Lucky Larry »

Headed to Isle following this weeks dealt 100 play RF immediately following a forum discussion where I posted on playing only 1 credit occasionally and hoping I didn't hit a dealt RF. Was this a Gambling god Omen? The trip was really bizarre - my luck went to both extremes..

Headed to casino and I was stopped (first time in 20 yrs) by trooper for speeding. I was.
No ticket but Warning notice for 6 miles over speed limit. Thank you
My favorite 25¢ is open. I usually play DW but a premonition said play 9/6 Dbl Dbl first and within first 20 hands hit the RF!
Reached for my cell phone to take photo and realized it was gone -lost somewhere in casino.
Pulled ticket and went to security. Phone had been turned in almost immediately and I retrieved it.
After returning to machine, taking the picture and then hitting deuces I lost my timing.
Moved to multi-hand (MH) nickels and played defensive. Multiple medium sized tickets so good luck continues.
Saturday go to my favorite 25¢ machine and can't catch two cards of the same color much less a hit.
Move to MH machine and catch the 4's and then the beautiful deuces deal after about 5 hours of play and several good tickets.
Decide to play Sunday afternoon and stay over because Sweet C's losing streak is over (she is dealt 4's and catches 3's 3 times in an hour) on Dbl Dbl progressive.....
I can't hit a thing....giving back more than I should have....

Brought my biggest Jackpot home a winner. Love you Sweet C glad your 0-6 trips is over.

Third trip in a row with a RF.

I agree with billyjoe on the 6mph speeding issue.  Someone must have done something really bad to the trooper's breakfast that day. On another issue, doesn't the fact that you're hoping "not to hit a royal" tell you something about your playing strategy?

Great hits, Larry..

Coming around a curve on a Hwy headed back toward I-10. Had just left 75 MPH going through a small town and headed back to I-10 and the casinobahn.

Tedlark,
I would have taken my medicine quietly since Sweet C had already verbally noted my lead foot.

The officer was extremely courteous and professional.

100x1 - Sure, but who wants to quit? If you're not hitting I will try other options to keep playing - 25x1, 50x1 or 100x1.

I think "Leadhead Ted" has a much better ring to it Larry. See, I can make fun of myself just as much as the rest of you do...

Ted,
I'm trying to decide whether I should take the first leg of the run to the casino (where I got stopped) tomorrow or take the second leg and let Sweet C take the extra risk.

LL if you drive really slow then Sweet C will have no choice but to put the pedal to the metal.
