Well those 8 machines at Showboat were neither hot or cold, they were frozen. Playing Bonus poker, only 2 4oak, both were holding 2 jacks. That was it. Gentleman playing next to me got his only excitement from a full house very sad. Talked to various player on those machines and it was all the same, nothing. All 8 machines were empty by 10pm.

ok ok   I apologize for mistakenly calling these 8 machines full pay deuces,,,,they are the ALMOST full pay deuces I have seen others mistakenly call FULL pay as well....it is a example I think of wishful thinking on our part perhaps.... Well Jeter, i am sorry you experienced the misery of AC....but how was the rest of your trip besides the 8 machines at the Showboat?  I was there too these past few days, from 4/7 thru 4/13 and I played at the showboat a couple times too and had the same results as you did....as I have been ranting and ranting and ranting, somethins is really wrong in AC with its VP.....the VP machines everywhere these days suck and play more like SLOTS than VP machines in terms of payout return.... Seriously jeter, when you were experiencing this abysmal play and the people around you were having the same, what was going thru your mind?   it is way beyond bad now in my experience in AC, as I have not seen nor heard of anyone who plays serious VP report ANY success in the last 6 months, just dismal failure. I wonder what roveer has to say?? I will post more later in different threads but let me close with this tidbit about these 8 supposed "superior machines" at the showboat: I had a run of 410 hands on the 9/6 JOB and 9/6 DB game on these machines where I lost 96.25 on 25 cent credits.   Thats a whopping 51 RCs in the total rewards system!  For 96 bucks I can think of better uses for my money dont ya think>>?   Thats abysmal folks

I mainly read postsrather than join them. I have read your current and past posts egarding the VP in AC. Although there were a couple of months when I was agreeing with you that somehting didnt seem right witht the VP, this has changedin the last 3 months. I play VP at Showboat. Predominantly Super Times Pay. (not at Roveers level) 3 lines .25 denomination. If Im ahead will play .50. I have had a hand pay almost every trip on my last 4-5 visits. I have been able to build my winning so the 1k level and cash out several times.
 
My last visit (2 weeks ago) I inserted 20.00 free play. About 3 spins later was dealt
4 aces with kicker for a 3k (50 cents ) I play DDB.
 
I have had several 500 and 1k hits on the single VP in the smoking section by the main bar as well.
 
Just figured I would let you know that I am having decent luck there. (even with bad 7/5 paytable.
