Re: Paytables mean NOTHING
I am in AC right now, I have been here for about 36 hours.....if anyone wants to find me, look for a very disgruntled dude in a black and blue wheelchair (color also mathces my ego right now) with a shaved head and a hat that says either Bugle boy or Wolverines. I will definitely be at Resorts on Sunday....
But here is the latest: There is now ZERO DOUBT in my mind that Video Poker in AC as it is practiced TODAY is VERY different than VP in Nevada.
Playing basic 25 cent games (like BP, JOB and DW) on machines with the LEAST smelly paytables in the ATlantic club and Trop over the past 24 hours (time mow is almost 5 pm on Friday), I managed to lose miserably about 500 bucks. This is not much and isnt breaking me, but it is essentially what I had planned on gambling for the course of the weekend. i did NOT lose it by simply PRESSING when I was down and failing to stop, I never got the chance. I simply was ambushed right from the start, and every machine I p[lopped down in front proceeded to take my money and give me virtually NOTHING in return, and I mean NOTHING. It is no longer just one or two casinos in particular in AC.....my horrid results the past 6-7 months now span the entire boardwalk. And the experience is shockingly similar, it plays out almost the exact same way no matter where I choose to play: I buy in for X amount of dollars (usually 100) and immediately lose right away, I go down right away like 25 or 30 bucks by having absolute CRAP appear fpr the first 40-50 hands.....I mean this happend almost EVERYTIME everywhere. Then I spend the next 30 minutes runnin g in place, trying to ge tback to even, maybe getting half way back and then BOOM, another 25-30 hands of nothing and I fall further down, etc etc etc It just is repating the same.
And guess what? I am not the only one.....I have witnessed other players experience the same general pattern (two otjers in the last 24 hours, plus two more whom I did not see play but who reported to me similar experiences.) I mean, WTF is going on here? How can A player just lose lose lose EVERY FUGGIN TIME in the same FUGGIN manner all over the boardwalk? (rhetorical question....the answer, it seems, is SYSTEMIC to the way AC operates its VP, which it is obviously the equivalent in AC casino eyes to SLOTS....unlike in Vegas and elsewhere, more and more it is apparent that VP in AC is realy really.... SLOTTY!!!!)
I dying here folks......I am ready to punch a waitress.....I guess this was hidden during the years when things were flush and money was flowing in AC....they did not need to mess with VP (or maybe they still did, but their tratment of it as a "SLOT" experience did not require such stinginess and they set the machines at or near what VP machines are supposed to pay in general) But now it is awful, and I am afraid I must quit and go elsewhere, which is pissing me off because I WANT to play in AC, I like the Ocean much better than sand and wind soaked deserts where it is 97 degrees at bedtime and 96 degrees when I wake up to have a poached egg and a bowl of prunes with my morning Coffee!!!!! My wheelchair likes the boardwalk, it is easy on the shock absorbers, whereas sand clogs my gears! ANd the Vegas strip is awful for people like me who wheel as fast as they can and operate on the philosophy "Everyone get out of my way!"
I am not happy right now.....anyone else in AC now or will be this weekend????
I have uncovered some specific hand patterns and anomalies, but I will share them later....I am not doing my usual data collection right now, I am instead merely noting the obvious weird features and trends while tracking simply total hands and net results, not breaking it down hand by hand by hand, and by hand type/result.
But clearly, they have set some of the VP machines to deal (or not deal) certain hands way more frequently than normal......Whatever you think about rigging, and VP fairness, and gaming regs and licensing anc commissions, something is happening in AC that clearly does NOT happen in Nevada and may not happend in other markets as well.

Here we go again, like a broken record. Burglar if AC is so bad THEN WHY PLAY THERE???
You have said before how close you are to the CT casinos, why not go there where you seem to think you have a bit more of a fighting chance?
Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~wall, Head~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall, Head~~wall..... OUCH!!!

Daburglar, You know when we lose money we get upset(mad, angry, cry, lol) call the machines rigged or they in your case might be slot machines and not VP, I dont know? I know years ago when i investaged(work) things was not easy 90% or higher of people just go along with it is what it is, the person who stick his neck out and says something is not right is always going to get slack and ridiculed by other people, by all the post I read of your there seems to be legit. Trust me when i say this i had my foot, leg, many times in the grave and brought back to live again my wife can secound that. But anyway keep writing your stuff i will read it, and what you say might be the truth. Sam

I would love to put whatever the "LEAST smelly" game into VPW plus the number of hands you think you've played and see how likely you would be to blow through $500 on a fair game. But you provided no real details so I won't, I guess.

Daburglar, you are in a slump and should take a few weeks off. I've been there and it isn't pretty. A few years back I played for three solid days in Biloxi and never got a 4-of-a-kind. It happens...

I just received a PM from FarmFreshGuy, who just returned from Caesars AC. During his trip, he had 6 RFs, a personal best for him at ANY casino.
I don't know what to say.

wtf?? SIX!!! well, good for him, he must be the luckiest man in AC. I just spent 3 hours NOT playing, just sitting and watching the Saturday Morning Players in Caesars at the Bank(s) of prgressives, and I witnessed ZERO royals during this span, 8 am until about 5 minutes ago, 11:10 am. 20 plus machines, at any time usually 15 players playing....three hours, no royals.
Tedlark, just skip my posts, sorry they bother you....I tried to avoid posting what you simply dismiss as pure negativity but what can I say, it is the truth and is what I am experiencing. I suppose I could make sh*t up but that never ends well either....I am really trying to have fun but this is mind boggling and frustrating. it just does not make sense, and it is turning into one of those horror movies where one guy (me) see's the monster but no one else does and dismisses him as nuts or a boozer or whatever, until its too late. I actually thought my previous post, where I state emphatically WHY I am playing in AC was fair in that I explain myself and is not simply more *****ing.
I tried something at 6 am in the Atlantic club when I woke up.....there are about 60 machines in the AC club that are typical conventional VP machines, both the upright version and the table top. I played 1 hand on each machine, Bonus poker, one machine after another (since they were all empty) I just wanted to see what was happening and to see how "random" it would be. I put my ticket in each machine, hit BP and played max coin one hand and then cashed out and went to the next machine. Now, you would probably expect a good mixed bag of results that would be close to AVERAGE on all aspects right? I mean, thats what you'd expect right?
AFter my 60 hand "experiment" going machine to machine, I was kinda un-surprised (but still pissed) to witness this:
8 hands returned my bet with a pair of Jacks or Better
2 hands had 2 pair
1 straight
the other 49 hands/machines ate the $1.25
I mean, huh? wtf That's REAL random alright, random crap. But hey, its what I have been getting right? SO again, not surpised. Sixty different machines, all spinning their wheels waiting for someone to hit deal.....and thats what happened. sure sixty hands is nothing, i mean NOTHING. But the fact that all SIXTY machines pretty much followed the pattern, and not a SINGLE one dealt a Fullhouse or better is a wee bit unnerving....not to you stoic jocks who have seen it all, but to someone like me who has seen the carnage I have seen uninterupted over the last 6 months......well, phew.
I did take a break, I typically wait 2-3 weeks between trips down here, sometimes more sometimes less. but why should that matter if this is all RANDOM like you guys claim? again, rhetorical question, answer is it doesnt matter, or it is not supposed to matter. But Something Matters here.....
I am going to do the only thing left to do, start grilling the casino mangers and floor people about just how these machines work and what THEIR specific procedures and practices are.....I will ask uncomfortable questions, probing questions, and I will cite my dismla play as an example of WHY I am asking......short of hearing from ROveer and his probe of an actual machine, this is the only way to figure out why AC is what it is and everywhere else is what it is.....
edited to add: sorry about the typos lately but this #@%@$%$^ piece of crap keyboard at TRUMP just blows, blows almost as bad as Doritos

How many royals do you think 15 players "should" get in three hours?

Burglar I have absolutely nothing against you personally but you bring NO new information into your posts. It is the same old rhetoric about how crooked the state of New Jersey is and that the machines are rigged. You are singing a tired song that we all know the words to now, by heart.
I have hit both ends of streaks over the years while playing video poker, the good runs and the bad runs. I have had multiple royal nights at casinos in Illinois, Nevada, Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota and these have been balanced out by the not so good runs at casinos in these very same states. Besides playing expert perfect strategy on machines with a very high return, the only other way of coming oout ahead is if on your very first trip to a casino proves to be a winning session then yoou NEVER step foot into a casino again.
