I do have to agree with Edog, though Im not sure I'd want to be called a "drunk indian" or "drunk Native American" neither one seems to be very nice.  I do understand where Edog is coming from, just wish he could tell me what to call my baseball team, the Cleveland Indians.  kati - but nice royal jetermackaw

edog: I play a lot at a casino in Niagara Falls, New York called Seneca Niagara.  It is owned and operated by the Seneca Nation. The home page of the website of The Seneca Nation does not refer to Native Americans  Rather, it refers to the Seneca Nation of Indians. Do you see what you are up against?

Yes, I do know what I am up against. But I thought I would give it ONE MORE TRY.

I recently visited a casino here in CA....they proudly call themselves a indian casino. I can see where your problem personally is....but others have a different take on being called indian----when I tell people my heritage I always say and __% indian. Not a big deal if used in the proper context---just like you being very polite in the way you just asked. So I have no problem referring to you as native american---the problem is some of the casinos label themselves---or maybe they just dont have a problem with the word?

At time's like this I go back to that little boy on the beach, gently putting a starfish back in the water. A gentleman walked up to him and said... Throwing one starfish back in the ocean is not going to make any difference. You can not save all the starfish. To which the boy replied I made a difference to this one. Food for thought people.

I'm sorry if my initial post started this controversy, it was not my intent.

The whole point to my response to edog's response to jetermacaw's original post was that this is a video poker forum, not a seminar in political correctness. People are offended every day of the week by something that someone does or says. That's called "life". It happens.
I am certain there are forums edog can join that cater to political correctness. This one is supposed to be about video poker, yet we must constantly endure edog's non-stop prowling of the various posts as he looks for an offensive phrase and then pounces when he finds one. My guess is that he lives to be offended.

I am Irish, very much so, and I hear Irish jokes and slurs all the time. Guess what? That's life. For edog to expect that Webman is his eternal protector from the offenses of life is unrealistic.
