I have read reports on other sites that say harrh's casinos are not very good anymore to play vp. Does any one have any comments I am going end of August and the reports are giving me doubts

I am a diamond member of harrahs great comps for me and my wife rooms food cash coupons in the mail, but there machines are weak. harrahs is a large corp and there is a reason. Harrahs and mgm mirage own most of the hotels on the strip. the players do not stand a chance. If you do not hit good size jackpot right away you are doomed.

While it is true that our local Harrah's(Joliet IL)has some pretty poor paytables I have had some success there, particularly on DDB & Shockwave.Overall,I have seen more nice hits there on both VP & slots than at any other Chicago area casino, there is often a lot of Whoopin & Hollerin going on during sessions there. The Vegas Harrah's has better paytables than our local and has VP as good as any on the Strip IMHO.Their comp program is also pretty good. They would be worth checking out for some play.Good luck!

I agree! Tough to find any decent pay tables at the Harrah's strip properties. Even tougher to walk away from the comps offered us by them, to start with another property! My wife and I have always been treated very good at any Harrah's property Reno,Taho, or LV. If I was starting out with no comps built up with anyone I would look elsewhere for good VP. The many locations across the US is one of the positives for me for Harrah's. If my wife and I are traveling we can look for a free room at most locations.

my plan is to play a 3/5/10 play 98.91% deuces wild at athe rio to run off points get the "diamond in a day" 3000 base points between 12:01 A.M. and 11:59 P.M. to keep diamond card for many room comps and a play a few points when you go and play the most at full play places like stations casinos or palms. Harrahs properties tightened up for awaile on comps, but they are going through corporate mergers they are giving away alot of comps to keep the lists full. I feel once the mergers are complete they will tighten up on comps making it a bad deal. All is not lost some casino hosts will take the lists to other casinos when they change jobs and we can get a good start a casino that will want business and not have the games unbeatable

I too am a Harrahs diamond player, but am looking at other casinos because of the lack of good paytables

I am a Diamond member as well and although I like the comps--games are harder to find. I keep my Diamond membership throughout the year but have found better games and paytables at other sites.
In Louisiana--New Orleans Harrahs is very limited on games. In Vegas I lilke the Flamingo best--various games and paytables on several games still good. In Reno--Harrahs cannot compare to Atlantis--plenty of good games, good paytables.

Harrah's in Joliet, Illinois has been our favorite for the last few years, but quite recently things have changed - and NOT for the good. Seems that VP has definitely tightened up. Anyone else noticing this? There had been 9/6 Jacks or Better and even good results on Super Times - but our last two trips have been to donate.

I like Casino Windsor the best. Yes, Harrah's I feel has the best comps of all the casinos I have been at. I have also been to Wheeling Island and Mountaineer, Mountaineer comps is the worst.
