Reno Casion Choices
Heading to Reno in Sept. I'm familiar with the city but not the Casinos..Which is the nicer Atlantis or Peppermill, or Grand. Any new ones I don't know about. We don't want to stay right downtown. We'll have a car so getting around isn't a problem....
Not too concerned with pay tables and such just the cleanest nicest place with the most VP machines.

I live about 1 hour from Reno, when I go to gamble I like the Silver Legacy best. Never stayed in any of the casinos

I go to Reno often. Over the years I have gone back and forth on whether Peppermill or Atlantis is better. I currently favor the Peppermill. Lots of VP with good pay tables, some really good restaurants, and the rooms (especially in the Tuscany Tower) are spacious and comfortable. Comp points are easy to use, and once you get on their radar two to four night room comps are readily available usually with some free play. Happy to answer any questions you have. I'm leaving Sunday 6/9 for 3 nights there.

Just got this and you are on your way to Reno..Hope you have good luck...I appreciate the info..My sister lived in Reno for 10 years so I visited her once a year. She doesn't gamble so her husband took me to some funny places. My favorite was some dive where you got a six pack of soft drinks foe every 4ok..After you got four you could trade it in for a six pack of been..Very funny place...We ate at the Peppermill and the food was great...Also went to Tahoe and played a bit at Harrah's...

Mrs. Minn. and I snagged a couple free nites at the Atlantis off one of their VP contests a few years back. There's plenty of full pay machines around town; unfortunately I gave back most of my VP winnings at the poker tables that trip, though I had a good shot at a cash in the weekday tournament. We didn't get to the Peppermill at all. Wherever you wind up staying we'd recommend the Oyster / Sushi Bar at Atlantis for at least one dinner; we enjoyed several there. Have a good trip and Good Mathematics.

Thanks for the info, glad to hear the Atlantis still has 10/7 DB for quarters, that's what I played there the last time. From what I recall we also cashed at the Silver Legacy and from a new slot club member match play promotion at the Cal Neva.
