Don't try this at home
Actually this high risk Martingale clone just bailed me out from a wicked bad night at Mohegan and a pretty good back and forth morning. Playing 9/6 JOB with mostly 5 or 10 units for 6 hours last night and only hit 3 quads. Nothing higher. I resorted to this very high risk strategy this morning and luckily hit a few quads with between 16 and 23 units bet. I know that in the long run, 2 pair or better comes up roughly every 4.2 hands. Starting with 5 units in case the Royal hit, I upped my bet a unit every time there were 4 consecutive hands of something less than 2 pair. Anytime 2 pair or better hit within 4 hands, I backed my bet down a unit. Got about 70% of the loss back from last night before I had to leave in the late AM. The 9/6 machines there allow up to 25 units bet on quarters and then you have the option to switch to dollars and go up to 25 dollars a hand. I started at the quarter level and luckily never had to go all the way up to 25 units bet and then switch to dollars. I would have needed a much bigger bankroll to continue if that happened and I didn't have the dollars or the time. Anyway, it worked well this time, but you run the risk of hitting next to nothing and going bust if the down streak continues. Even though I covered a good part of my loss, I would have been better served with Phil's one coin quarter game for this trip.
