cool hits Regarding the NL hld em tourney, whose idea was it to "chop" it up? did you do it right away or did you wait until a couple more people were eliminated? was it nine people at the final table or 10? I ask this because, for me, the chopping became too routine and I stopped playing tournaments for awhile in AC because you never get the chance to play it out and hone your short handed skills or your one on one skills. Nowadays, I only play in tournaments that disallow chopping, or limit chopping to when the field is down to just two or maybe three players left. However, one custom I still like no matter what is the "taking care of the bubble boy".....when the "money" is just about to be reached, typically everyone left will contribute an equal dollar amount so that the bubble person at least recoups their entry fee.....having bubbled myself twice at foxwoods in my life in big money tournaments that cost 300 or more to enter, I feel strongly about this.....

LOL...I know the feeling Milmont... The wife and I play DDB dollars only. The reason behind it because when we started playing dollars we played quarter also. But when we hit Quad A's with kicker or a Royal on a quarter machine. We would get a sinking feeling because on A's we felt we were leaving 1500 on the table...and on the Royal we felt we were leaving 3000 on the table...So we started playing dollars and now we got used to it so it's dollars only...We have done good over the years on Dollar DDB and the casinos will never back all we have gotten from them so now we just think of the credits in the meter as credits not dollars seems to be easier on the nerves when were putting in hundred after hundred to get a cold machine going again...and having a good Buzz helps me a lot also. Ha...Ha...Ha...
