Wheel Poker
Is there a change in the basic strategy for the game given the fact that there is a sixth coin bet for the wheel spin?

I just play for quads.

I think there could be strategy changes, but not because of the sixth coin, but due to the increased relative value of quads.

I did a 200 hand sample of ddb 5 game wheel poker in training mode to find out. There were some strategy differences. Instead of holding and trying to hit an inside straight the optimal play is to throw all 5 cards away. Also if you draw 2 pairs and if one or both of the pairs are face cards the optimal play is to throw the lower pair away. Thirdly, on one hand I was dealt 4 diamonds and 2 threes. The training mode had me hold the two threes instead of going for the flush as I would normally do in regular multi-game ddb.
All other strategy seemed to be the same. The differences as onemoretry pointed out was no doubt due to the increased value of the Quads. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the posts. I will go into the training mode and see what happens for the game that I play.
