Resorts Players Club
Does anyone know anything about the players club at Resorts in Atlantic City? It seems to be on a need to know basis. I play at Harrah's properties and have reached Diamond card and want to see what Resorts offers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I went down yesterday and tested the waters. I usually play at Harrah's properties and wanted to compare the clubs. I only found 1 9/6 JOB $1 machine in the intermediate area. The speed was set on mega turbo so I had to adjust for typical speed (600 hands an hour). Played it for 1 hour and this is the outcome. There are no updates on the machine as you play it simply reads "card accepted." It was about $3000 through the machine in 1 hour and received 3 points (about $6) in cash back after I checked with the desk and kiosk. That is .2% cashback, which is better than Harrahs on regular days. However - I think I will stick with Harrahs and Showboat on the reward multiplier days because I like the casinos more.

Sorry I have not been keeping up with the forum lately, so I just now read this thread and have a chance to respond. I am VERY familiar with all things AC and Resorts in particular, for a while it was one of my favorite places to play (and EAT thanks to Gallaghers and their Chinese place East-west cafe, both of which have the best food of their types, steak and chinese, in AC in my opinion, and Gallaghers burger bar is THEE best burger in AC.) Only reason I mention the food is it ties in with the comps/comp dollars. Resorts players club has its good points and bad points.....if you show up as a first timer or inactive player, and you already have a Diamond Level Card from Caesars properties that is current, you can expect to receive their equivalent "Paramount" status card valid thru the end of the current year, but be aware, their year runs October thru September, so if you sign up in July, you only get 3 or so months of the Paramount status before it expires UNLESS you somehow manage to earn the requisite points to retain the Paramount Status (which is 300 points, and as you already know earming a point under Resorts system is not easy.) When you leverage your Diamond Club card you will receive all the paramount perks though, which are numerous and typical: Drink specials (lots of them including monthly wine giveaways, lots of them) Free massages and manicure and spa, free exercise, pool, and of course, the Resorts version of the players lounge.......however, just like Caesars, they will charge you 10 comp dollars per person each time you eat at the players lounge UNTIL you reach your 300 points, after that its truly free. Paramount players get to play twice in every slot and card tourney, and your monthly slot dollar offers will be pretty generous as long as you keep up your end of the bargain and maintain a healthy monthly point average (minimu of 30 per month AVERAGE if you want to get decent weekly slot dollar bonuses.) The comp dollars at Resorts are accumulated pretty fast, much faster than the cashback, and all Resorts outlets and food redeem comp dollars at 1 to 1, including the gift shop (but that can change on a short notice depending on how business is going! Last May it went from 1 to 1 to 2 to1 in the gift shop without notice, then by June 5th it was back to 1 to 1....go figure) Resorts is now owned in part by Mohegan Sun (large part as Mohegam now manages the casino Ops) So if I were you once you get a Resorts Paramount card, head over to Mohegan Sun! The Video Poker in Resorts is really frustrating results-wsie for me and is one of the places in AC I am sure "adjusts" a portion of their machines to deal more random Crap/duds/no value hands than you expect in a normal games....again, a "portion" of their machines. But if you happen to get a normally random VP machine at Resorts they do have a good 8/5 Bonus Poker paytable (99.3%) that is rampant throughout the place, present on nearly ALL VP machines of 25 cent and above denomination. They also have 9/6/5 DB as well.
