Gett'n my grove on
Another visit to Harrah's and a bunch more pictures. I must have jumped another tier level in their comps system as they are now giving me a butt load of free play every week. I'm going to capitalize on this as the amount + the earned free play is approaching the low end of my normal bankroll. So for the foreseeable future I'm going to try and play with mostly Harrah's $$$ and very little of my own. I'm also going to institute a new strategy of essentially ending a winning session by giving myself a reasonable amount of money to continue playing. That way I can feed my habit when the adrenaline is still flowing and not risk the winnings. I realized during my most recent visit that playing lower denominations at the end can be just as satisfying as playing the higher denoms. It's all about increasing the number, so keeping it on credits vs. actual money might just do the trick. I have to solve the "train wreck" problem otherwise I have to give it up all together. You'll notice that I've had a couple of recent 25 cent royals as a result of lowering my denoms. You'll also notice in my pics that I've been branching out to other games. Tried my hand at Super something or another and was able to hit 4OAK on 2 dollar denom. Also this past trip, I waded deep in to Joker Poker and hit a nice 4OAK dealt on a 5x multiplier. Ended up hitting 2 of them. Had the exact same hand a day later without the multiplier and didn't hit any of them. Enjoy.

rover, Nice hits, good that they(casino) are giving you enough free play to try and hit these hands, good luck with new plan/strategy. Sam

Did the machine really lock up on the quarter royals?? You only won about $1000 each. And two royals in one day? I am approaching about one year for a casino royal...blah
Great hits!

Vman the machine didn't lock up on the $1,000.00 royals, roveer had raised and lowered his denomination of play during his session(s).

Yeah but it wrote the word "Jackpot $1005.00" which I have always thought was the message that usually locks up the machine. Earlier this year at Majestic Star, I watched the guy next to me get a quarter royal at STP, and he didn't get that message because he was below $1200.

At all Harrahs/Caesars properties across the country all slot/video poker hits of $1000 or higher lock up the machine for a hand pay. However, you still only receive a W2g for jackpots of $1200 or more.

Harrah's is notorius for forcing a handpay on 1,000 hits. It was something we all complained about as it takes away from gameplay. At some point this year they were resetting machines so they no longer required handpays but there are still a bunch of machines that do. Unfortunatly, the two that I play the most still do. Roveer
