When I say a majority, the vote in favor of a single game was more than the other 2 options combined, so that was accounted for.

If you won a month of gold, it has been applied to your account automatically. If it was not, please contact support@videopoker.com and they'll make sure it gets awarded properly.

I give up.  This sure smells to me like a railroad job for whatever reason.  I tried to vote and still have no idea if my vote was even counted.  As I posted earlier, what would it hurt to go back to the original format and give people back their freedom of choice.  If you got 1000 votes, I can think of many ways someone could cook the numbers.  1000 votes is not a very large sample size out of a population in excess of over 300,000.
 
I see no reason to offer ideas as I have given you ideas in the past and you are going to do what you want to do anyway.

There are about 4,000 people who play the Daily Contests each day, and of those 1,000 responses is a good sample.You're right... we wouldn't want to do this unless it's what people wanted. Which is why we did the poll, and the results demonstrated that the majority were in favor of it. I'm sorry you disagree with the decision and if you post some suggestions to the topic I linked, they will not be ignored. However, we're trying to weigh a whole bunch of opinions here and can never make everyone happy all the time.

Yes, sometimes.  Other times it's just boring stuff with the same posters saying nothing over and over.  lol

Webman I also am a little disappointed as I liked the change..... BUT I figure the contests are offered for nothing is you want to play the game play it if not don't. My biggest problem on this site is Gold Members always complaining about non-gold members. This is a free site people if you want to pay for something that you can enjoy for nothing that's YOUR choice. I myself do pay as I'm a silver member, I am not here to chat I am here to play poker, just didn't want the adds. Please either stop complaining or cancel your gold, enough whinning already, lets play poker.

Well, count me in as someone who just upgraded to gold again BECAUSE of this change. (yay me!!!)

Not that the change itself made gold any more important, but all this griping (which I find hilarious) has inspired me to be on the opposite end of the people saying they will leave because of it. It's been a while and I'd forgotten the hell that is free membership until I saw again how nice the gold is. It's changed a lot in the past couple years.

Thank you for a great website, I'll try to be around more often again. Now if you could just make even more people leave by making it jacks or better all the time, I might actually win one of these days. LOL

although I am not a gold member, my wife, her sister and their mom,are.All three of them will be cancelling their membership when it expires. If you are in favor of the new change, that's all good. If you are not, then the only way to show that paying members do not like things forced on them after you've paid, is to hit them where it hurts. In the wallet.If enough people feel the same way, they will have no choice but to change it back. That's the way paying customers get their voice heard. This decision cost $300 a year from the 3 people I know who cancelled.


  Um $79.95 x 3 = 239.85, maybe you were rounding up? If it helps the website and keeps it out of financial shutdown I am willing to pick up an additional membership or three when my membership is due in March of 2014.
 
  Stomp stomp stomp, tantrum tantrum tantrum. I'm sick of people threatening to leave this wonderful site just because of a stupid contest that is a BONUS anyway. If you want to leave, JUST LEAVE. Are you trying to garner support when you threaten, in a public forum, to take an action such as this?
 
  I have been a member of this site since around 2004. Many of you, MANY, had not even heard of this site back then and much less thought to join it. I have met some really great people through this site and all of you that focus on just the stupid contests and fail to establish friendships, as I have, are missing the boat.

I like the new daily contest format (and voted accordingly). My only suggestion is that we be informed what version of poker the game 'du jour' will be so that, if need be, we can brush up on the strategy. Perhaps it can be included in the box where it tells us what the game will be?   Thanks for all your efforts to keep us players (gold, silver & free) entertained!

As many have asked including myself, out of the 1,000 votes, again, and again, HOW MANY VOTED old forum how many new forum?  Why can't you just tell us, someone counted these votes, right?  Changes the rules prior to a vote does not meet with my approval in any way, its like closing the door to the barn after the horses are out, since I could not vote before at least give the final count. Thank you.  Can't wait until the end of the month when we'll all get to play the same game for 6 or 7 days, yeah.  Can you say boring

For all of you who want what you want and crab about this website, threatening to cancel your membership etc..please forward to me another website that has the features that this one does and lets compare the two. Man, it is soooo simple..if you want to support this site and enjoy the entertainment value you receive from it, either go Gold or Silver or DON'T. Geez, if nobody wants to hear gold members complain about winning or loosing..what do you think you are doing? At least Gold and Silver help to keep this site up and running..I think it is the best VP site I have found, and the members (now friends) are enjoyable and can make me laugh so hard, I almost fall off my chair. We crab about the contests sure, but we crab about alot of things..at least we put it out there.
