Machine State Inspection Inquiry
Came across a machine with "Out of Service" on the screen. Since the machine is often played I figured someone asked it to be taken OS for dinner. After several hours it was still listed OS, I checked with a Slot Attendant who checked the machine history sheet. A notation called for a State Inspection (didn't say why it needed an inspection). So I proceeded to ask lots of questions of slot personnel throughout the evening as to what would cause a State inspection.
The responses included:
*Patron expresses concern about machine play or files complaint with the State.
*Change of chip, system, or machine parts.
*Machine malfunctions in some way- doesn't hold hands, screen blinks, etc..
*Daily Internal casino report indicates abnormality (too many jackpots or no money taken in). Curiously, one slot tech told me if the machine was on the Internal Daily Report a casino inspection occurred and then a possible State inspection. They had a list of machines that needed to be checked that day for previous day's no money taken in and other malfunctions.
Would love to learn more if others can share information.
Thanks,
LL
