Biloxi Visit - October 2013
Just returned from Biloxi. Played three rounds of golf in beautiful weather, including the one tournament round. No trophy..
It was the week of "Cruisin' the Coast", so there were millions of dollars worth of cars everywhere. Saw some real neat 'relics' that were almost as old as me..
The Beach Boys performed Friday night. Only two original members, both in their 70's. They had the Mississippi State University symphony orchestra on stage playing with them, so the sounds were terrific. John Stamos (Full House / Yogurt) sat in with them on most numbers, playing both guitar and drums.
-----
-----
Not any tremendous VP hands, although I did have quite a few handpays. Finished the trip a little down on the gaming. Here is one from The Grand Casino on a Super Triple Play machine.
-----
-----
Next trip is a cuise to The Bahamas next month. First experience on Royal Caribbean.

Are you doing Oasis of the Seas?
Also, nice hit on drawing the 4 10's on the Super DDB.

I try and catch the Beach Boys every time they come to Mohegan Sun. At least 4 trips so far. They just put you in a good mood. I would love to have seen some of the old car pics. That is my 2nd love right after vp. Getting a little too old and creaky to do restorations anymore. My only ground up one was a 1946 Oldsmobile Sedan. Big beautiful 4 door. Flathead 6 cyl with full fender skirts and lots of chrome. Two tone ivory and tan. I was lucky enough to have this one place second at a Regional car show in the early 1980's. Nice hits by the way on the pics above.

Congratulations billyjoe,
They may be old but their music still sounds young to me.

Don't know. Never been on it, but I am sure that it is. We did the Oasis of the Sea out of Ft. Lauderdale about a year and a half ago. Had a great time on what at the time was the largest cruise ship in the world. Really liked the itinerary. We did Nassau, St. Thomas, St.Martin, and I forget where else.
CET had a promotion 2 Septembers ago where they awarded these free cruises for being one of the top 40 players at our home property. When we looked into it, it was a really great deal. They paid for a balcony room, all the fees and taxes, gratuities, unlimited drinks at the casino, and even a couple of upgrade dinners as well as a meet and greet with other CET players from mainly the Midwestern part of the country.
I think it was a lot like the 7 star event cruise you did earlier this year. Wish we could of joined you. We procrastinated and still have not done our 7 star event this year and I think they are through offering the cruises. I bet that was a great time.
We have been thinking about taking our annual 7 star cruise out of New Orleans some time in January or February. I wish they paid the taxes, fees, tips, etc. like they did on our Oasis of the Sea cruise. I think for our 2014 7 star cruise, some time in May we are going to try to do an Alaska cruise. What ports are you doing on your Enchantment of the Seas cruise?

It is just a five-day cruise to Nassau. I have never done RCL, always NCL, so I thought the shorter cruise would be better.
I did two Alaskan cruises on NCL. both times out of Seattle. Alaska is superb.
