Expected return on games with bonus features
How can the expected return for a Video Poker game with bonus features, such as Super Times Pay or Wheel Poker, be determined. Since the bonuses are unknown events, I suspect that the pay tables are not a true indicator of the machines payout percentage.

It's all based on math of actuary averages. Go to the wizardofodds.com website and you can learn alot about the answer to your question.

The paytable alone is not the sole indicator anymore, but on some games, like Super Times Pay, the probabilities and values of the multipliers have been released, so the affect the bonus bets can be determined. And for Ultimate X, return is based on both the paytable, and the multipliers given for winning hands.
For Super Times Pay, it roughly adds 0.28% to the base paytable. Double Super Times Pay adds roughly 0.50%.
As damule mentioned, you can find several types of these games discussed at http://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/

Thanks for the info and the link to the Wizard of Odds. Just read his explanation of the return on Super Times Pay: explains everything and lists exactly what I wanted to know.
