Found me some double deal VP

Post by roveer »

So at Harrah's AC they've been switching out VP machines like crazy. A few weeks ago I asked about "double pay" since I had seen a few big hits here. I was told that there is a version called "double deal" on All Star VP and I noticed quite a few new AVP machines popping up at Harrah's AC. So I've found a bank of 4 machines that are AVP's which means they basically have quite a few games on them including DD. Only problem is, they are nickel and dime machines. I've played 3 different times and each time with a small starting amount (50 bucks) I've managed to walk away with either 200 or 400 bucks. Some times I switch to dimes part way through but pretty much 3/3. Now I'm not mind the .05 & .1 denom's since I like those amounts when I'm just noodling around. Will have to go on a hunt around the casino and see if they have higher denoms. Guess I wouldn't mind hitting my dealt royal on one of those as long as its not nickels or dimes. Enjoying the game. At times I just get burned out on STP or UX so it's nice to have a slightly different VP variation.

The casinos continue to limit their exposure to high payouts by restricting games like Double Deal to the lower denoms. I have been seeing this in every casino that I visit.

Hallajeulah/hallalujah/howl_at_you_jaw!     Finally one of our most respected and well liked and least stinkeroonie posters, billyjoe, confirms and admits what myself and a couple other posters first stated many many months (years?) ago!!! The casino/gaming industry is stagnant/stagnated in the USA and North America, and strategy by most casinos is simply stay alive, dont loose money or market share while poaching other casinos business.   Having a lot of low denom, low exposure games fits such a "survive first" mindset.......proliferation of penny slots everywhere and anywhere amongst the entire Casino business shows this to be true .......and now on the Video Poker side, with plunging paytables and eliminating large portions of VP machine inventory no longer enough, they add this into the mix, eliminating denominations above 1 dollar for most/all VP games.      Its quickly getting to the point where the only place to find VP games (any game) with denom above 1 dollar in most casinos is strictly in the high roller area(s), and within these areas, the actual number of machines offering, say $5 or 10 dollar credits is shrunk down to a handful, or even one or two!     The casinos just do not want to hand payout $10k, $20k and up on machines/games with winning return percentages in the mid 90s (and up) most penny slot machines these days, lull the customers in with ONE CENT  CREDIT prominently displayed, but then shred customer bankrolls with the MAX CREDIT BET totals approaching 250 or more credits per spin when u factor in all the ridiculous "lines upon lines within lines intertwined with more lines" that each can grab 10 credits per, so that a customer is betting 3, 4 or 5 bucks (or more) a spin on "PENNY" slots!!!  its actually friggin hillarious!!!!!         oh sure, i know I know, many penny slot players conscientiously limit the number of credits they bet on each line so that they are only playing 1 dollar or thereabouts per spin, but this only facilitates the casino strategy even more thoroughly......LIMIT exposure to high payouts!    PLUS EVEN at MAX bet, the jackpots on most penny slots is paltry compared to what they used to be back in the days of yore when 25 cent, 50 cent or 1 dollar credit, single line slot machines ruled/ Same goes with VP these days

Here! Here!.....In Ct., they have also lowered many of the paytables on 5 dollar machines to 8/5 from 9/6, leaving the quarter no points paid 9/6 machines alone. I am sure if I examined the other paytables on the high denomination machines, I would find similar results. Poor management, greed, incompetence, wasted money on idiotic promotions and ads,.....they have it all yet we continue to go there hoping for a fair shake at least. Ha! Fat chance of that!
