Vegas December Trip

Post by BillyJoe »

Off to Vegas Wednesday for the annual Gift Purchase Events at Caesars and Bellagio (MGM). I have enough gift points from both groups to make the trip worthwhile. I decided to cancel my golf plans (Cascata and Shadow Creek) however, as the weather will be COLD, only low 40's during the day, while I am there. A lot of spa time I would imagine.

I am ready for a good VP trip to help squelch all the talk about VP machine 'tinkering'. I hope it pans out, and I have a lot of good pics to share when I return.

My only advice to you is:     WIN and then win some more. but I wouldnt expect any tinkering in Vegas machines....I still implicitly trust nevada games and the nevada commission to keep things as they should, even though they too are stretched to the limit resource-wise and have had to make do with less people/resources,   But it is not nearly the issue or problem as it is elsewhere since Nevada's entire economy is gaming based just about so there is only so low that they can go..... Blly joe if it is too cold, try visting downtown and the fremont experience at night.....the street with its overhead loght show enclosure is usually A LOT warmer than elsewhere, so you can get some walking in as well as try the downtown casinos which almost always have better paytables than the strip.    Plus, the golden nugget is just as classy and upscale as most strip places except the newest elite bastions of snobbey lol!    try the Golden Nugget sports book if you want to bet sports or even just watch a game, its quite nice and comfy.

Have a great trip billyjoe, I'm quite sure that you will somehow find some interesting ways to occupy your time instead of golf.

You could head out to Red Rock and stand in front of the heater that the car hikers use to keep warm, in case of a chill, or you could ask Penn & Teller to fill their Houdini milk jug with warm water and you could relax in there for a while. The only downside to that though, is, you need to be able to hold your breath unless Penn Gillette fesses up to you and shows you the hose that Teller uses to breathe air. You could also cab it out to McCarran and stand next to a runway and get the occasional jetblast.

Whatever you decide, HAVE A GREAT TIME.

I don't think staying warm will be a problem off of the golf course. Hey - it's Vegas !!

No pool cabana this trip, though.

It will be cold out here for sure. I am a member at Rio Secco golf club, and I am staying in. Hope to see some nice hits soon Billy Joe. Have fun.
