New Years Resolutions

  Well I guess I'll get the ball rolling and spell out some plans for 2014:
 
I resolve to;
                   Eat less red meat but take a bigger bite out of life's apple
                   Be better with money management when gambling
                   Give more (both time and money) to charitable organizations
                   Continue on the good health path with my exercise and workout routines
                   Work less and smell the roses more often
                   Reinvest in personal growth
                   Be more tolerant of ignorance
 
  Finally, I resolve to bite my tongue and do a better job of turning the other cheek when it comes to me responding to posts made by DaBurglar even though I know the posts may be filled with: false information; ignorance; half truths; character assasinations; insults; stupidity; and, so on. I will however step away from this resolution if he comes directly at me personally.

YIKES - that's a tall order. Can I just pick one for myself (not the red meat one, though, since I am battling iron deficiency).

    WEBMAN......this is exactly what I am talking about.   Do you see what's happening here?  I am sure you do....... Everything Tedlark claims he resents about me and my posts HE HIMSELF actually is guilty of, its the most blatant case of self-projection and hypocrisy I have ever seen. He claims I attack him personally yet what he just posted about me IS in fact a personal attack, so I am just asking you to privately advise him to stop such posts.    If I was in fact guilty of posting FALSE information, ignorance, half truths, character assasinations, insults stupidity (and so on) as he (and he oNLY) claims while offering ZERO evidence, then I am sure you would have banned me long ago.   I've never done (knowingly) any of that, and it is only his perpetual ACCUSATIONS and attempts to build a mountain out of a mole hill that continue this absurdity.   Other posters may disagree with me, but only Tedlark goes way beyond simple disagreements into something that I cannot even describe; only that I know I do not feel comfortable with it......his hostility is visceral, whereas I do not feel this way towards him (or anyone, ever!)   it is just wrong. The truth is, this so called "insult" he says I made against him , you, WEBMAN, long ago stepped in the middle of and told me (and others) to not do such things, and I apologized many times and moved on.  He has chosen to continually bring up that one, LONG ago instance as the reason to harrass, bait and cyber bully me into some conclusion only he seems to know.    Furthermore, the actual "insult" where he claims I called him "gay", if you bother to dig up the actual forum thread, it transpired very differently than what he makes out or claims, but nonetheless, its a long dead issue (except to him) and this needs to cease.....and I would ask you to read his statement about "taking me into an ALLEY" to have " a discussion", and then explain to me how I should NOT take such a statement by him as a THREAT.  clearly he harbors very antisocial feelings to even type such a thing, and he can spin it or explain it however he wants, but the tone and intent are crystal clear.  I am sure he NOW realizes he never should have typed such a thing on a public message board, but still...... If you read my posts and how I write and what I write, and how each thread progresses you will see that nothing he claims about me is true, and in fact I only respond to HIS abuse towards me.     He has some problem, and he is choosing to take it out on me and the rest of the forum. from this point going forward, I will not respond to anymore of his blatant attempts to incite ill feelings or words, I would just ask, from this moment forward, that you PLEASE monitor the situation and step in should he insist on perpetuating his vendetta against me. Thanks.

   Wanted to also ask Webman if this section of the forum. "ANYTHING & EVERYTHING" was intended to include LIBEL in that catch all title.....?   I mean he is, in his own way, calling me a liar, among other things........ just wondering

I like you both, but as my mother and probably yours too, always said if you can't say anything nice about some one, don't say anything at all. Just agree to disagree and move on. just for your information many state supreme courts have ruled that posting on internet forums are considered "free speech" not libelous. to keep things calm I would limit posts to constructive ideas about video poker or comps, rooms, food, shows. for 2014

Uhhh... you guys do realize the rest of us can read these posts? Come on, it's New Years, a new start, forget all the bad stuff and start over, everybody gets a second chance. I like you both, but as my mother and probably yours too, always said if you can't say anything nice about some one, don't say anything at all. Just agree to disagree and move on. Kati,Great post!  I agree - some of us (me, included) have less time ahead of us than we have behind us.  I, for one, intend to enjoy what time I have and that includes letting go of regrets, anger and making sure I say only good things about others.  Sometimes the last one is the hardest to follow, but if I don't try, I certainly won't do it.To Everyone:Have a wonderful and profitable New Year.  And profitable does not only mean financially.
