  So the next time you're in Chicago and if you get mugged, look me up. I have not called anyone else here a jerk, only you.

  You mentioned how other posters in the future might have a problem with such personal and critical banter and I respond with this: on three different occasions you called me gay in the open forums. For the record I am not nor do I have any issue with those who are. I also said before, that; as someone who fights acts of discrimination for you to make those types of comments to and about me is offensive.

  Edited to add: DaBurglar I made no mention of physical violence against you in any of my posts.
   Haha, the edited comment about you denying "violence" comes in after I go to respond...clearly you realized what you had said, how stupid it was and how it exposed you, and now you are covering yourself.......and you obviously feel bad about it so I will let it go.....I know you do not mean it and you are just p'o'd     No problem.   But you are still on the "gay" comments?   STILL?   Even after I apologized (several times) and even though you still refuse to actually cite or reference the SPECIFIC posts, which clearly show I actually was NOT attacking you in the manner or to the degree you claim......that you took the whole thing way beyond what was intended and totally out of context.......THIS is the reason (MANY MANY months later) you still have a grudge against me/???  Your post above makes no sense at all, I am serious.....you must be either very tired or perhaps you just came home from a party where you had some alcohol, I dunno:   I cannot make heads or tails of this statement by you:  (QUOTE)You make mention of me commenting on your ability to get accepted, and attend Harvard and you get mad at this when you made an identical comment about my children and their chances at getting accepted by the same university that accepted you? Awfully big of you attacking children.(/QUOTE) ??????     Dude, go to bed, seriously.......LMAO!    ATTACKING CHILDREN?!?!??!!   wtf?   you are EMBARRSSING YOURSELF.   This is not contributing to the forum and people are sick of this.    Just sign off and start fresh tomorrow,,,,,,

[QUOTE=DaBurglar But is also goes without saying if you send your kid to Harvard (if they get in),

  DaBurglar does the above look familiar? And to further respond to you; I do not drink nor have I ever done drugs except for pain meds prescribed by a physician and that has been 10 years. I took a nice 3 hour nap today.

  Ted, what you just highlighted and quoted is NOT (1) an attack against you or your children or (2) an attack against any and all children anywhere, which is what you claimed I was doing.      In fact it was not even addressed to you specifically, I was responding "in general" to all who are reading and interested, and the context is totally lost by you clipping and pasting one line out of my long post. Dude, this is awful what you are doing TO YOURSELF.....just stop it, really.     What you just typed and posted is absurd, and along with your post and comment in the other thread where you totally attacked me and ridiculed me, calling me "sad" and friendless and many other things.....you have gone way over the line and limb.....lol, I am serious, just cut bait and stop embarrasing yourself/ I am truly sorry you have developed what is obviously a clear pathological hatred of me.....you clearly cannot stand me and I find that both sad and absolutely hillarious....that's your problem.   I do not even know you so I do not feel the same, nor do I care how you feel about me.      Like I said, this is not about some alleged insult from 8 months ago that I long since apologized for, so I will just leave you with this:    it is in your best interest to just stop trying "to beat me" in these threads.....it aint gonna happen.   If you want to post about VP or in response to others, then do so....but if you continue to attack and distort and cyberbully me and my posts, then it is only you who will suffer in the long run.   I am not leaving this forum, you will not run me out or get the powers that be to kick me out.....in fact your recent posts put you dangerously close to getting yourself a little "timeout".    So you have been heard.....the forum knows what you think of me, and you have "warned the forum" about me, so consider your job done and move on.       Oh and one more thing:  If it was NOT violence that you claimed you would use to "settle" things with me "eons" ago in an alley,  then what are these other METHODS you speak of, if not kicking the living crap out of me?   Seriously, you had best be specific because the cops will want to know too......what would you and I be doing in the Alley?   Playing chess?

  We'd have a "discussion." DaBurglar I am not trying to run you off the forums and I am not the one posting inaccuracies or assailing people like Bob Dancer. You are now trying to recover yourself on the forums by switching gears away from slamming AC and by posting "remember when" and other feel good posts. I appluad your efforts and I still consider you a topper plus it seems as if you want to push me right up to 23:59:59 31/12/13.

  As for me editing an earlier post, I did it to remind you that I didn't mention physical violence at all, you did. I'm going to bed now as I have to get up in the morning to earn my $65.00 per hour; not bad for a guy who didn't attend Harvard.

 +1 I think the original focus of this thread, the "new" VP machines at Caesars properties, clearly helps us to see that, for VP players, comps and extras are going the way of the dinosaur, and that if you wish to continue to earn comps via playing video poker, you are facing a very bleak picture, unless you are actually willing to sit down and play such paytables as 6/5 JOB or 7/5 DDB.   Caesars is plainly showing they are no longer willing to "reward" smart or even semi-knowledgable VP players for their play, or conversely, if you want to play a good paytable at a caesars property, then you had best be satisfied with simply your "playing experience" and whatever winnings you catch if you are lucky enough to win..... Its all about cutting costs and overhead, and it has now been identified that the comps Caesars was giving to VP players is no longer cost effective.    Even seven star players like Billyjoe will (or already have) seen this in action. The only remedy for this from the player's perspective, is to talk to a host (preferably one in Las vegas) and see if you can work something out vis a vis your own personal level of VP play on the better paytables and ask the host 'if I LOSE X amount playing on this VP machine, will you still give me Y amount of comps?'     (whatever Y amount of comps is important to you then thats what you ask for obviously, whether its food, rooms, shows, golf, etc.) That's what hosts are for and what they are supposed to do, so start using them like you have never used them before....the worst they can say to you is "No", at which point you can always politely remind them of your choices in gaming nowadays.....if they still do not care or respond, then so be it, at least now you know where you truly stand with them and can move forward.....

Mohegan Sun is not routinely assigning hosts anymore even for level 3 players like myself. You can ask for one anytime, but usually they will just check what is offered on their website and repeat it to you. Conversly, my friend who is level 3 and plays strictly regular slots, gets approximately 10 times the dollar value of monthly offers I do. He does have a host and she never calls him either. IMO, the biggest mistake Mohegan has made is doing away with their marketing department. I used to get weekly calls from them 5 years ago. It always resulted in getting me up there for an extra weekly trip!!!

[QUOTE=DaBurglar)
and to Billyjoe:   Like I said in my other post, I know self made people who attended community college, and I know several "bums" who actually went to Harvard (in all fairness, they sit in Harvard Square and its apparent they may have some sort of mental illness, but still the point is the same......success in life is due to many things, and it does not hurt to have a Harvard degree on your resume.    And I beg to differ about what you said regarding "most human resources people" not knowing who or what "Harvard" is or means......I am sure you did not mean that as you typed it, lol

Well, Burglar, I DID actually mean what I typed. Like you, I can only state what I know from experience. In today's business environment, your first step in securing a good job is to get through HR, and that usually means just having a degree - nothing more. That is because your competition for a job all have degrees. Once past HR, you need to impress the department head who may ultimately hire you.

My MBA is from USF, and I never experienced any Stanford or Ivy League MBA, and I have competed against several in my career, beating me out of a job that I wanted.

 Well that's your experience, and like a lot of other things, its unique to you and your life.   I'd say that's good you never were "beaten out of a job" by "any Stanford or Ivy League MBA", or for that matter beaten out by any other school's MBA!   I'd like to believe the reason you got whatever job you did was due to your being THE BEST candidate or most qualified, which, AS I STATED many times by now, is composed of many factors and considerations including where you went to school and what you studied. I just disagree that a person's actual school, either undergraduate or graduate, is TOTALLY irrelevant, and that it does make a difference, IN MANY (but NOT EVERY or ALL) instances. If you have two individuals with equal experience, expertise and salary history/demands, and one person went to a State school and another person went to Harvard (or Stanford, or Yale...or DUKE), most Human resource specialists or career consultants will tell you the Harvard grad will get first consideration.    On the other hand, IF the State school was, say, University of California-Berkely, then not so much, it may come down to who has the brighter personality or who answered one or two questions better in the interview. Like I said, it can help get you in the door, but whether you STAY on that side of the door depends on what you do from that point forward......THIS I know from my own experience because, after my first initial hire/position (which I know was due to my school because I was recruited on campus), every subsequent promotion or position had NOTHING to do with Harvard and everything to do with my performance and ability.

Unless any of you received a BS degree from Bob Dancer's School of Video Poker, I'd appreciate it if you would limit educational discussions to the Anything and Everything topic. Thanks and Happy New Year.
