Re: Caesars AC
well, i am back from my poker/video poker/H1N1 AC trip from last week, and I am going to have to plop all my info into a new thread because it is wide and varied.......fyi, H1N1 means I won a nice case of the flu going around the USA right now, most likely contracted waiting in the line at the AC clubs Cashier cage on Friday January 10 as they attempted to milk a few last dollars from their loyal suckers/customers (like me), (48 hours before they shut the lights down) Anyway, congrats on the hits, its nice they went to another member of the unemployed masses of this onc egreat country, someone who truly needs the money, although I cannot vouch for the wisdom of the unemployed frequenting casinos, but its clear the cousin is an extremely lucky person so he may be an exception. It truly is dumbfounding how some people just attract big hits while many of us committed, strong regular players who spend HOURS playing never hit a thing.....on the other hand most people I know personally who are "lucky" in casinos usually have some major challenge or adversity in their personal regular life, while others (like me) who are not "lucky" in casinos are very fortunate in the other areas of their life......I guess some people call it balance, or karma......I think its just pure chance and can change in a heartbeat (literally) Mortons is nice but Gallaghers is still better, imho......at least in AC. ANYWAY, I must have just missed you jeter because I was in Caesars around dinnertime on Friday (january 10, after I escaped from the brewing crisis of AC club's final death throes).....I was playing the 25 cent royal progressive by TOGA, which WILL BE DISCONTINUED ON JANUARY 21.....THEY WILL BE REPLACED WITH THE OTHER NEW MACHINES YOUR FRIEND WON ON.......I played about 30 minutes and finished dead even, actually was down 30 bucks and hit four aces (with a 3) WHOOOPEEE! Oh wait, crap....its only 9/6 JOB.....now bear in mind, when I was not playing No limit holdem tournaments or cash games at Borgata and Harrahs, I was playing DDB at resorts or taj (where I had my rooms)......a whole 6-1/2 days and never could get AAAA+Kicker at DDB, but put me on a 9/6 JOB and voila..... Caesars also got rid of the four FIVE STAR POKER machines (with videopoker.com's logo website on them!) Unreal.....I really want to ask the managers there if they truly believe getting rid of such popular games is going to restore their profitability and customer satisfaction to the desired levels......

Surprisingly, Tunica Roadhouse kept theirs. No one plays them. Paytables are generally bad.

No sh**t those machines had a lot of fun games on them, like single line Quick Quads and dreamcard, so that you dont have to blow a whole weeks worth of bankroll to enjoy those games by playing all the MULTILINE versions of those games that are around......same with Doblepay, Random Rewards and good times pay, all single line versions on the five star machines but otherwise only available on multiline machines. It's total BS, and abject greed.....look, we all all understand these corporations want to make as much money as possible, but surely they must know that IF they keep pissing us off and taking away our favorite games and continuously rubbing our noses in their overt moves to take as much of our money while giving back as little, sooner or later they will be making NO MONEY as we all get fed up and never return???? I'm actually done with Caesars AC properties, except for Harrah's Poker room.....Other than the JOB progressive at Ceasars I have not played much VP at any of their AC properties in some time.......I gave up my diamond status and threw the money I was willing to blow on VP into higher status at Resorts, Golden Nugget and now, Trump, and I am fine with it.....I like staying at resorts, GN and the taj better than Caesars or Ballys....or the showboat!
