I'll be trying it next week! And billyjoe, when are you gonna be there, I'll be there from the 12th to the 18th. Impromptu meet up perhaps?

I arrive on 12th, leave on the 17th, staying at Caesars. The Eagles concert Saturday night, and golf during the day Thursday and Friday. Other than that, it will be gaming and spa for me.
Let me know what day/time/location would work for you, and we can make it happen. I will wear my VP.Com hat so you can recognize me.
Um, I'm thinking Wed. or Thurs. night would be best. We'll be at Mirage for those dates. My g/f will probably tag along unless she gets bored and runs off to a slot machine...lol

But in my head I am thinking Thursday like this: Leave Mirage late afternoon heading South to Cosmo and back and making Caesars one of our last stops. I have never been in Bellagio/CP in the evening I think, so I really should for once... When do you usually stay in the casino until? You don't quit before 10pm, right? I figure Thurs. night would be better because hopefully we'll have at least one good hit to talk about. Or at the least you can tell me how your golf round went.

But if Caesars is okay for you, you need to tell me where to actually meet though. I haven't even played a single hand of VP there in 8 trips and I even really dunno where the VP is...yikes!
Let's plan on Thursday late afternoon at Mirage. I need to be at Mirage on Thursday afternoon anyway to check in, since I reserved a room there as well this trip in order to play Shadow Creek on Friday and attend The Eagles on Saturday.

I am playing golf that day at Cascata, and should be over at Mirage by around 3 - 4 PM on Thursday.

I will probably be playing at the Wheel Poker machine, since Mirage is the only strip casino that I found that has that game. I will wear my VP.Com hat.

Looking forward to it.

Sounds good!!!

Mirage Wheel Poker at 4ish? I'll probably be there by 3:30 or so. If I don't see you there, I'll be at some nickel Double Super Times Pay (playing 1-line 6/5 Bonus nickels and wearing a Mizzou hat) very near the hotel lobby.

If you want to email numbers too to make sure we don't get lost: tringlomane@yahoo.com

And in the last half-hour, I am definitely glad you were cool with Thursday. A dude from my high school just landed in Vegas, and I'll be trying to see him Wed. night as he leaves Thurs. Small world made smaller by Facebook...lol

Well, Wednesday would have been tough for me, since Delta cancelled my original flight through Atlanta on Wednesday (potential ice storm). I am now going Tampa to Minneapolis (Brrrr), then on to Vegas, but I don't arrive Vegas until the evening.

See you on Thursday..

Yeah, I saw that article, and yes, I WILL play it (though not very long) when in Vegas next week.

There is a similar machine @ Caesars LV, a Red-White-Blue 3-coin $1, which was part of a progressive bank that was taken out. The one remaining machine, I am told, has to stay in play until someone hits the jackpot, which was about $750k if I recall. I always give that one a try too - you never know.

Here is a pic of the MGM Progressive. The meter is still running, so the jackpot is increasing with play. Never less than 25 folks in line to play, so I never got on it.

Here is the one at Caesars. It was smaller than I remembered, but still a nice return for $3. The meter is stopped, so it will not grow any more.

Grrr...I really should have looked for that Red/White/Blue machine harder when my g/f and I were checking out Caesars later that night. It looks like most Red/White/Blue machines have a jackpot frequency of only 1 in 64^3 = 1 in 262,144, which would make that game ridiculously positive unlike Lion's Share. The g/f and I hate Caesars though, just not for us. And I didn't feel like looking for the high limit room. If I realized the machine might have been > 150% return, I might have bothered with a $100.    But if that progressive was naturally earned this whole time, then I would be concerned it couldn't be hit at all due to a malfunction and/or "rigging".

I had asked the slot supervisor about the Caesars' machine, and he said that NGC had just checked it recently to verify that the winning combination is in there. This was after they had a flood in The Spa located right above this machine, and water had come down on it. Caesars had to scramble to get repair parts to get it back running, since it needs to stay in service until the jackpot is hit.

For those interested, the machine is located near the Bacchanaal Buffett entrance.
