We have friends who only play 100x1 for hours knowing a missed RF (1:40K) is a rare occurrence but the extra hands can increase the chances for big hits.

But, playing 100 hands at a time at any reasonable speed at all should result in about one "royal cycle" per hour. It would be amazing to play for several hours without hitting some royals.

I have just returned from a trip to Laughlin. Over the course of my stay I accumulated about six hours of play on 5c 50 play bonus deuces wild at Harrahs, hitting five royals. That's probably a bit above average, but not significantly so.

Frankly, I don't really care how other people choose to play, with the possible exception of those who occupy 50 and 100 play machines and play one hand, one credit, at a time.

I do have to wonder, however, if they realize how much return they're giving up by not playing full coin. One full coin royal at 4000 credits is a lot better than five at 250 credits each. I will concede that a limited bankroll will usually last longer if it's spread over more hands played - I just don't like the cost.

Coincidentally, my wife, like yours, and playing beside me at Harrahs was also dealt five aces while playing 5c 50 line bonus deuces wild. She was playing full coin, so her payoff was 20000 credits.

But for every 1 in 649,740 rounds on average, they cost themselves $2750 when the dealt Royal comes in!

I was happy I was playing max credits per line when it happened to me. Now the number of lines...yeah, I would have liked a lot more of those... [/QUOTE]

Between us, Sweet C and I have split 12 dealt RF and everyone was on full pay. Hers have all been single hand full pay. Four of my five have been on multi-hands: a 5 hands, 10 hands, and 25 hands twice. While I would bemoan the fact it might be 100x1, I also recognize the fact that its all about timing whether I'm playing full pay or not.

In about 5 hours I hit one full pay and 2@1. One was within the normal first 25 hands and the other around hand 80.

I am a real proponent of a minimum bet of $1 because we are limited to only 4-100 play machines (down from 8) and several regulars play 1x1 or 1x5 for hours.

Congratulations to your wife.
