Doesn't take much to get you excited does it?
While viewing the schedule of the Daily Contests (great feature by the way) I noticed that simple Jacks or Better or Bonus Poker are not scheduled. Is it because most people find these games boring, or maybe it's related to the Winner's Challenge contest, or some other reason? These are the games I most frequently play at the casino. With my limited bankroll my time at the Video Poker machines would be short indeed if I had to play Double Double Bonus or Triple Double Bonus all the time. The least volatile game being offered is Deuces Wild, which I very rarely play and don't enjoy that much.
Did you vote for this new ****** daily contest format? If you did, I wonder if you are still as happy with it as you were when you voted for it.
Yes, I voted for the contest with the single game and the monthly challenge, and still glad I did.I also voted for that idiot in the white house, maybe webman can change that instead?

I was shooting more for the Winner's Challenge than the Daily Contest and I felt that playing the lower volatility games would give me a chance to determine my fate much more that games like Triple Double Bonus where, if you don't get lucky enough to draw a quad or two, you have no chance of obtaining the points needed for a Winner's Challenge Point.

Now that I've had a chance to see how this is working I think it works reasonably well, at least until last Saturday. I found straight triple play on one game to be.. er... less than stimulating. I wanted to spice it up a bit so I went into my basement, got some paint and put a dab on my desk so I could watch it dry while I was playing.
At the time I thought at least it wasn't single play, single game... I went outside and dug up a patch of grass and set it on my desk today so I could watch it grow while I was playing.
I'll be here all week, and don't forget to tip your waitress and bartender.
And lest someone think I'm just whining, (I was just kidding above, although I do find the games that don't have some kind of bonus to be less fun to play when there is only one game available), I actually had a suggestion that might work.
I believe the idea was to make the Winners Challenge more competitive. But does it need to be every single day? I was thinking along the lines of "Switcheroo Sunday's", where one day a week there were multiple games available. It wouldn't seem to have too much of a negative effect on the Winners Challenge, yet add a little variety to the regular daily games.
No big deal if you hate the idea, but I figured it was worth putting out there for potential future consideration.

Tsu,
Though I believe this matter has become an open and shut case, I have to say, I thought your analogies were hysterical.
I hope your act is not escorted out of town by the forum police, I'll be happy to pay the price of admission for the week...too funny

Thanks for the new 15-games-a-day feature (if it's permanent). Combined with the "we choose the variation" feature, it makes it easier to treat the contests as a diversion and not actually hope to win anything, especially the Winners Challenge. Assuming around 40% winning rounds with ideal play, that now means you need to play 24 rounds a day on average to have any serious chance of winning the Challenge--so unless you're jobless or retired and have nothing else to do with your life, it becomes too much of a time-waster to consider. Who knows? This may be a good thing for the Gold members who are always whining about not getting special advantages in contests: Maybe those who cough up the $$ are also those willing to spend hours each day playing the contests. I'll keep playing, but only as the mood strikes.

I agree with Lucy. I love the new format. It is exciting and different. I think that we all have the same chance playing the Game King for the monthly contest. It gives everyone the same chance. Am glad to see the multiply game choice back for each game instead of one though. I think you are doing an excellent job Webman, keep it up!
