March 2014 Biloxi Trip #1
Back from the first of two planned Biloxi trips this month. I had a great time. My foot held up fine for golf in some wonderful weather. The NOIR Event had $150,000 of FreePlay given away, with one woman getting $50,000. Neat deal, but I got NADA, other than a good meal.
I saw Chicago - The Musical, with John O'Hurley playing Billy Flynn the lawyer. Great show, with a very talented cast.
The golf event, as always, was a blast. I actually had a pretty competitive team this time, but we just didn't make enough putts to finish in the money. I did get $500 FreePlay for Closest to the Pin on #17.
The gaming was poor through most of the trip. Nothing in VP or Slots early on, and table games were about a push for me. But, on my last evening, I took my $500 FP to the $5 TDB single line, and Voila..

I know - crappy pay table for $5 TDB...
Heading back to Biloxi in a week for the Champions Tour event. Should be fun.

Wow! What a way to end your trip. And it must have been especially sweet to hit that using your free play.

Nice work, and close to the end of that free play.
What is your handicap Billyjoe, you seem to play a good amount of golf.

Thanks. You are right, I like it when the bigger wins come from FreePlay, and at the end of a gaming trip. I have a better chance of getting some winnings home.
I do enjoy golf, and was a halfway decent amateur player here in FLA in my younger days. I have been having some physical issues (surgeries, anemia) the last few years, however, that have taken their toll on my golf game. My USGA handicap is currently a 12.

I have played in Biloxi many times and while the pay tables suck at the Bea this is the only place I am able to win at. I know exactly where this bank of machines are and have hit them many times on TDB. While at the Grand or Isle/Gold Strike I have been through $2500 on single line $1 DDB and TDB without even hitting a quad. And Hard Rock is not much better unless your in the HL room. It plays fair.

Nice way to eagle your final night with the quad aces billyjoe. From reading your initial post here: "but we just didn't make enough putts to finish in the money." I would have thought that your golf handicap was putting?

Congratulations on your win, Billy! Paytables don't matter for that hit, huh?

Super job. and glad you had another really fun trip. Funny, I used to have a 12 years ago. My left handed slice finished me off from staying in the 70's every time except twice. Even dropoing my foot back a little, only helped for awhile. Here is a bit on ancient history. My original golf clube were Butchart Nicholls. I will be amazed if anyone remembers Gilbert Nicholls , but he was quite famous in the day. The big wins are always nice at the end of the day. Like you say, it is more likely to go home with you that way.

Great win! Glad to see you hit on your last day. The last time I went (Jan, 2013) I could only hit on a slot machine but almost nothing on vp. Maybe I should switch? Anyway, Congrats!
