I predict Louisville to win the whole thing again this year. They should be ready after participating in the newly created and vastly underrated American Athletic Conference. After defeating my alma mater University of Houston and going on to win the conference tournament I look for them to get a number 1 seed and run the table and win the tournament. May not happen but if I was betting that is where I would put my money.

I just can't see them beating up on UCONN unless UCONN has a really off night or starters out with injuries. Also Notre Dame could be a wildcard. They usually give UCONN lots of trouble. That said, when you get to this level of quality teams and players, anything in sports can and does happen.

Gotta agree with that, I just picked Louisville to win it all no matter where they're seeded.

First off, chatty cathy, you are correct to regard Louisville as a tough team to beat in the tourney....they have one of the best coaches (college coach) of all time in Pitino, even if he is kinda slimeballish......but olds442 also brings up a great point....UCONN is always tough in the NCAA tourney, and they may in fact beat up louisville in the Big East Tourney!Either way it is going to be extremely exciting....March Madness is always my personal favorite as far as sporting events go.......if only Atlantic City could get sports betting!    gahhhh!    what a waste!     Delaware has sports betting but does not take advantage of it, and right next door, AC is going down the tubes and Sports betting would be one of the best things they could do to IMMEDIATELY change their fortunes!     what a shame!Anyhoo, I am a huge UCOON fan, so I am rooting for the huskies to go very deep and far into the tourney, but realistically, I know we do not  have enough firepower to win it all.     Besides, Florida really truly looks like the best team in the country and I do not think anyone can knock them down at this point in the season, they are just too strong and have too much momentum.     Wichita State I thin will make it to the final 8, or maybe even final 4, but will stall just short of winning it all.....  I would look for some solid, battle tested team out of a tough conference to possibly give Florida some challenge in the final title game, maybe some team from the ACC, like Syracuse or Duke.As for total surprise team(s) to possibly make the final four, I am going to say UMASS out of the Atlantic-10  has the players (and the RPI)  to make it to the final four.....and so does Villanova (but this would not be too much of a surprise I guess, right?)  what does everyone else here think, or predict?      too bad we couldnt get a pool going on this forum, but obviously that would constitute GAMBLING, something we are not (yet) allowed to do on this site.

Every year, there is always at least one 'Cinderella story' in the tournament.

I am old, short, overweight, and the wrong gene pool, so I have a tough time relating to basketball. When they start to allow fighting in basketball, like they do in hockey, I will start watching.

With the early upsets it appears Buffets Billion $$$ giveaway is safe. If Louisville does not play better than they did last night I may have to crawfish on my earlier prediction for them to win it all.
