mailouts

Post by ravenbynight111 »

I have been to the casinos very few time in the last 3 years since I lost my wife.But I have been getting a ton of mailouts emails and even phone callsfrom casinos in the last 45 days.Some of the offers,I have not been in the door of those casinos in 3 years.Some of the offers are great.These casinos must be hurting big time. My own view the gaming industry has been hammering the players so bad,people just get tired of being hammered so there just not coming.

  You're right raven; these casinos are trying to draw players back who have not been to their properties and this could be because they are losing players because of the poor results.

Because we are so busy all the time we only go a few times a year max---it seems the longer we wait they keep sweetening the offer with food comps or free play offers and food etc. Not that I wish we couldn't go more often but eventually they hit that number where we go because just a decent gaming trip and we will do ok, a break even and pretty much we are just out gas---why not! Not even that we try, but it sure works to our advantage it seems.

1) The "player pie" is being divided between even more casinos-more competition;
2) The economy is still tough for millions of families reducing discretionary spending;
3) Players are getting tired of being forced to play with at lower pay tables, less wins and fewer comps.
4) People are getting their IRS returns and the casinos want their share of your returns. (Straight from a Director of Operations at one of the casinos we play when I asked about the promotions.)

Just a few die hard vp people left at Mohegan. I mean very few. There is always a wait for the few low denomination machines which I am also playing now. If I can hold my own or even win a little with play money on the free craps practice games on the net, I will reluctantly be switching over myself. I can always play a little vp with some of the winnings from craps if I am so lucky.

Yes, we go by when we're in Lake Charles and track the progress. We're hoping they have at least a few decent VP machines but I figure it will be a big high roller location like its next door neighbor - L'Auberge du Lac. The Isle of Capri still has the best low denomination odds in Lake Charles and we've won our share and seen lots of great hits but the number of machines keeps being reduced. We are going to start exploring Coushatta since we hear they have better comps with comparable pay tables. We've hesitated due to the additional hour drive but figure its worth a try or two.
