Re: Latest CET Rumor
Its April 1st and still no upgrade on CET website concerning conversion of rc's to freeplay. What they have on there now is in regards to 2013.
We did get an e-mail from them this morning. The only new information I could decipher out of it was that they were only going to have 2 diamond aspiration levels this year. One at 40,000 points and one at 80,000 points.
At 40,000 you get the $100 celebration dinner and if you go to vegas you get a free ride for two on the new high roller ride. At 80,000 points you still get the $750 airfare.
It is shameful how year after year how CET waits until the last minute and seemingly wings it on everything when it comes to marketing. There are still a lot of unanswered questions.

CET used to be my favorite casino back when it was Harrahs. Not anymore, I get vouchers for free rooms in the mail for Harrahs New Orleans but by the time my voucher arrives in the mail the rooms for that time period are already booked
Then I call and they would rather book a room for $189 to somebody who may cycle $200 of play through their machines instead of giving that room for free to somebody would cycle $8,000. No wonder they loosing money

Harrahs New Orleans is being moved to Caesars Growth Partners.
Caesars plans to sell Bally’s Las Vegas, The Quad, The Cromwell and Harrah’s New Orleans to its Caesars Growth Partners subsidiary for $2.2 billion. Caesars will continue to manage the properties after the deal is finalized – probably sometime in June.
To put things in perspective, Caesars Growth Partners already owns Planet Hollywood and the Horseshoe Baltimore, scheduled to open later this year, as well as the Octavius Tower at Caesars Palace and Caesars’ interactive gaming business.
Caesars Entertainment owns 58 percent of Caesars Growth Partners, and several of Caesars Entertainment’s major shareholders, such as private equity firms TPG and Apollo Management, also own shares. Other shareholders include hedge fund billionaires John Paulson and George Soros.

What is CET trying to do with this shell game they are playing? Sounds like they are in the process of sheltering assets or spinning off part of their company. Other than gambling there, as an investment, I would not touch it with a 10 foot poll.

I have NO inside information on this, but it would appear that Gary "I have an MBA" Loveman is trying to make the CET balance sheet look as good as it can.
BTW, I have an MBA too, so I am not trashing higher education..

Mohegan Sun had a numbers/balance sheet guy which didn't work out and he was pickup up by the Revel in A/C. I don't think I have to complete the rest of the story.
