Mr Bryan

Post by ravenbynight111 »

A very goodfirend of mine, that I grew up with is also best friends with Mr Bryan. All of us work in the automotive field..In1998 Mr Bryan got tired of the cold upper Midwest winters and decided he was going to start going to Vegas and play video poker. He was a season player of the game, his wife and him made about 4 to 5 trips to Vegas a year.Kids grown up his wife a school teacher,no problem for him to go,financially secure he made his plan.Mr Bryan would go out for about 21dstays each trip,he would use his mail outs to plan his trip.He would stay at a number of hotels for his trip, never the same hotel chain in single visit. He would arrive check in and then make the rounds to collect his cash back at all hotels he received mail outs.Back then you got real cash back and you get 4 coupons for each week.So he was able to double dip them twice a week.He never paid for a meal or a room or a show. His biggest expense was tips and as he said that was a great investment. He opened 3 bank accounts in NV, one for his cash back and coupon money, another for his daily winnings and a third to transfers funds and basic banking. This man was ice and discipline, his goal was 300 per day.Within 18 months he has it wired,he knew were to play and hooked up with some locals that knew on the inside info and lots of hotel folks. Mr Bryan always said info is the key to winning,it is better that a pay table, knowing where the machines are loose is the key to continued success. This was told to me that he was averaging in access. Of 175k a year not counting cash back and comps. His wife also played with him during the summer and holidays.I understanding she was a hammer a VP.He was so concerns with his profit he finally bought second car drove to vegas so he did not have to rent.Back 5 or 6 years I was back homeland my buddy and Mr Bryan went to a local casino to have the all you can eat crab legs.We playeda little VP and my buddy was not feeling well so he took off and Mr Bryan and myself played a while longer and then we talked,I do not know were the time went.Well when we hit the parking lot it was light.I was amazed at how smart this man was every angle was covered.2008 Mr Bryan left Vegas and quit playing, his word the casino's are out of touch with the gamblers I also asked what was the most ever won in a year and he did not want to say but I finally got this out of him they made me a millioner.I as asked him his favorite casino to play VP and said it was SamsTown.I am going home in June I am going hook up with Mr. Bryan

I am clueless as to the background of this "Mr Bryan", and I admit I am having a hard time deciphering this admittedly INTERESTING post, so thanks for sharing whoever you are "raven".......but let me at least get this straight:   The theme or message of this post was to emphasize that the days of turning profit(s) by playing VP have become extremely difficult, correct?      I am not saying IMPOSSIBLE, but the good ol' days are gone, right?    I mean, that's why "mr Bryan" no longer does this since he WAS previously making so much easy money playing a game......he'd still be doing that if it were still possible right?I think it is time we all adopt a more realistic tone and consistent message when it comes to discussing our favorite casino hobby, Video Poker.    I truly believe we will have MORE fun and entertainment if we calibrate our expectations to fit today's reality......I freely admit, a huge reason I have ranted about the awful AC video Poker scene is due to my initial expectations that it would be just like Nevada, and that it was possible to achieve  at least a break even net result playing 99% games coupled with AC's comps....this was in 2009 and I reluctantly only tempered my expectations after several years of results that totally flew in the face of any previous video poker playing sessions, along with some other posters earlier insistence that I was simply the victim of variance and bad luck. Now I know.....now WE ALL know (except Bob Dancer, who is the exception to the rule)

I thought the guys would enjoy the story,it is shows what a person can do if he is focused. The perks where much better back then.dabuglar you 100% right, that was different time. That is why Mr Bryan is retired,I could go on for hours about him.1 other note he feels the casino industry has become just a bunch of thugs. I will see him in June and see what's going on in theVP world

My buddy and his wife and the Mr Bryan and his wife spent 6 days away from the Midwest weather. This was suppose to be a golf and fishing vacation, but VP came into play. The 2 wives were the big winners.Mr Bryan's wife won about 8000 and Sara my buddies wife won 2500.My buddy loved the place and will goback.Mr Bryan said he thought the machines were player friendly compared to US casinos. I will see those guys in June.
