April 2014 Vegas Trip
Just returned from Vegas. I played in a two day Caesars' golf event at Cascata, plus a round at MGM's Shadow Creek. Very nice weather, although a little warm for this time of year. My team played well in the event, but we did not cash. I had to settle for enjoying the experience.

Look at those mountains....... in the background
No shows this trip, just the usual visits to the Spa with a massage, which is always a treat. Since there was so much eating associated with the golf, only one fancy night out for steak and wine.
The gaming was mixed. I had some good success in VP, but no blockbuster hands. I won at the table games overall, but did poorly at slots. So once again, overall, the gaming was a slight loss.
I played at Caesars, Mirage, Bellagio and Aria. Here are the highlights...

This win was on a Double Pay game, hence the extra $500 for the dealt quads

Next up in May, an MGM NOIR cruise on RCL's Oasis of the Sea to the Caribbean. Should be fun.

Glad you had such a great trip. The " scenery " is a nice addition. I will fall back on a recent line from my post a couple of days ago. Borrowing a quote from the movie Young Frandenstein. " What knockers...." Oh thank you doctor. "

I'm glad you had a nice trip billyjoe and the gaming was fair too. I can't quite make out the first picture though, it seems a bit fuzzy. Was the camera lens a bit fogged up when the picture was taken? I'd appreciate it if you would get your hand off my future wife. Edited to add: isn't it a great feeling when you're dealt quads? Especially aces, 2's/3's/4's?

No blockbuster hands? Six handpays looks pretty good to me. Other than the slots, it sounds like you did pretty good for yourself. Glad you had a fun trip. Nice golf pictures as well.

Yes, I appreciate every handpay, for sure. When you play at the $1 level, though, you like to see those $4k and higher hits.

awesome pics william joseph! was that a five star machine I saw on a few of them? I miss those things, they took out the only four in AC and hid them!Question: How many hands total would you say (estimate) you played during your entire stay in Vegas this time? I assume from your post you pretty much broke even with the video poker, finished up at tables and down at slots. I figure you probably got the most "value" from your video poker play out of the three, especially since you play at the dollar and up level ....... Will you be in Vegas during the WSOP? it runs from end of may thru July 4th

You are correct, my friend. The single line pics are on the Five Star Poker machine at Caesars. There were, of course, several smaller (<$1200) hits as well.
I am not a 'hands played' counter, so it would be difficult for me to tell you. I was in Vegas 5 full days, usually average at least 4 hours/day playing (some slot and table play sprinkled in, but mostly VP), and I would say that when playing VP, I play each hand fairly quickly, so I will let you do the math.
Starts to get a little hot in Vegas during that time, so early June would be my last attempt at Vegas before the fall.

DaBurglar how could you ASSume from billyjoe's post that: "you pretty much broke even with the video poker, finished up at tables and down at slots?" Billyjoe most clearly wrote in his post that he: "had some good success at VP, but no blockbuster hands. I won at the table games overall, but did poorly at slots."What's to ASSume?
