streaks can last a long time a royal might not come for 2000 hands or more or one can get 2 or 3 royals on a single line machine in one day

I would be thrilled to catch a Royal in 2000 hands when it is only due once in every 40,000 hands or so. Maybe you meant 200,000 hands? I have seen people hit 2 in one day even at Mohegan Sun, but not in quite a while.

I am not as disciplined as you, Roveer, to give my sequence of playing a name, like 'gapping technique'. I do, however, take longer breaks between hands when I feel the machine is just shutting down. My thought is that I want it to move to another section of the RNG string where there may be some more favorable cards.

That's something I never would have thought of, slowing down between hands. I just try to get myself into a rhythym where I can play the same speed as I am thinking . If things aren't going so well, I usually just resign my thoughts to "the machine is dead, lets try another". Tell me, do you think slowing down helps or works ?? And why wouldn't you just get up and try another machine ?? You really gave me something to think about .

I will keep this one short and not so sweet. Hit the 500k hands without a Royal at Mohegan Sun. Not even close. Took a little side trip to Foxwoods and see they removed all but I of the 100 play one cent machines. Since it was the middle of the night I was able to get that one. Playing Martingale clone, I was able to rack up a 9 dollar profit in an hour. Back to Mohegan for a nap and breakfast and home. Looks like it is mostly craps from here on for me with less sessions. Will try and stay somewhat active on the forum which I do enjoy. Take care....Olds.....

Who is to say for sure whether playing speed or rhythm has any effect on results. I do know that, in some cases, my results improved for several hands after a brief pause. I would not bet my retirement check on that occurring every time, though.

Often, in the casinos that I frequent, there are few machines available that contain the games that I enjoy, so moving to another machine is not always an option. If it gets too bad, I just go take a nap.

Another weekend and you guessed it no Royal. 6k hands Friday and 8k hands Saturday (was not going to play this long on Sat. but I was determined to try and hit one)

That puts be at 335,000 no Royal.

Got dealt 4 to it another 5 times. Just like always 8's where the quads. I got them 6 times. Only good hands was I got dealt 4 3's and got dealt AWAK the rest was garbage quads... several other multiple times likes Jacks, Kings, 10's all 3-5 times but not a single draw to complete 2,3,4 or Aces with or without the kicker.

My quad 8 count for the year is 42 while my quad Aces count is at 16. Give me a break.

I wouldn't bet my retirement check on it either if I had one this month. The casino saw to that disappearing pretty fast. Will report back at some point on how craps goes and any other observations from other players as far as vp goes. Good luck to all.....
Don't know how I got that double entry. Couldn't seem to deit it out either.

[QUOTE=spxChrome] [QUOTE=olds442jetaway] This is true and unless he has just hit, SPX is not far behind me. I hope for his sake he has.

Nope still dead. I just can't believe it. This is all single line $1 9/6 DDB with some double deuces mixed in... usually only when the machine seems totally dead I play deuces as my money last a little longer. I play extremely fast at least 800 hands an hour or maybe even 1,000+. I get comments on it all the time how fast I play. Even the slot techs have never seen someone play so fast. Going to give it a go again tomorrow *fingers crossed*.

And toes crossed that it doesn't cost me $5000 when I do it

Think of me as Chris Ferguson just a little bit faster. Very deliberate in my play and not racing

This is my final tally accurate to about 5% or so.
Total hands without a Royal since last September from all sources on all forms of Draw Poker.

     510,000 hands Mohegan Sun Casino
      40,000 hands Foxwoods Casino
200,000 hands from Multi-Line games not counted above
120,000 hands from Frugal Video Poker (practice)
20,000 hands from practice on this site
5,000 hands from practice on other internet sites
    ----------
895,000 hands total without a Royal all forms of draw poker!!!!!

Now I am going to practice some craps on a couple of web sites and see how my Martingale clone will work with the free odds. I also found a single 0 Roulette video game at Foxwoods, but haven't tried it. I hope I win a little, so I can plow the excess back into my favorite games of video poker.

If you are serious about playing craps, check out some of the Crap machines at the Native American casinos. We have one here in Tampa that overpays on one particular bet. Obviously set up wrong, but that is what it does. A friend of mine plays some fairly high levels on it, and does quite well.
