Unfortunately that happens to all of us more often than we care to admit. Hope you have better luck next time.

Damn....10 days??? In Vegas??? and not ANYTHING to speak of???That is just plain hideous....and wrong! If you could quantify it a little more we might be able to offer a little more moral support than what I just typed....like for instance, over this 10 days, just exactly WHICH casinos did you play in, and how many hands at which games, etc etc.Either way, I have had such runs in AC obviously, but never that bad anywhere else, and certainly not in Nevada (Vegas or RENO).....one of my central gripes about AC is due to the fact that during my 20 plus years playing VP in Nevada casinos, I have never had the horrible awful aberrational results I have seen in AC. But now it seems YOU have!So once again we are left with the irrefutable fact that Video Poker is NOT the same game/experience it used to be, and that in fact it is now decidedly BAD for most players not named Bob Dancer and is actually worse than slots since we do not earn the same level of comps when we play Video Poker and yet we are now getting our collective arses kicked to such a extent that it would have been better for us to plop the money we keep losing in VP into some SLOT abyss!!!!I can say one thing for certain, the NEWEST video poker machines in AC, the ones populating all the CET properties (like Caesars, Ballys and HArrahs) and of course the ones in Revel, the brand new state of the art server based games with the combination tabletop and upright game schemes, are supremely awful and take your money in such a way that you seemingly have no chance unless you are one of the lucky few who get one of the inevitable royals that these new machines MUST deal due to regulations. But the way these new machines play, MOST of the time they just put you in a hole right from the start and you just slowly steadily sink to nothingness. It would seem the SUPER-HYPER fast way they continuously shuffle, while "RANDOM" in the most extreme sense, they somehow prevent any type of winning "run" from developing and your only chance is to hit one big premium hand and then quit. PLUS....the brand new machines have the most uncomfortable, HARD-to-press buttons I have ever seen or experienced! my hands were literally sore after playing ONLY 500 hands on Caesars new VP machines......I predict someone will sue before long! One last thing: The new machines, in order to "cash out" and get your ticket, you need to depress a new button located in a here-to-fore never used location, located between the play screen and the tabletop player controls, NOT on a cashout button located to the far left where it has been since the dawn of time/videopoker! Instead the far left button NOW is either a "bet one credit" or bet max....so many players like myself, who want to leave and cashout, insitinctively go for the far left button only to find we are now committed to yet ONE more hand to play! typical sneaky casino BS if you ask moi.....

I would love to know roughly how many hands in the Vegas trip and which games. Now, on top of everything else we are seeing in the new machines, I have noticed something else. On my last trip to Mohegan Sunday nite and Monday afternoon I tried a little experiment on over 50 vp machines with job and regular deuces wild. Every single one and I mean all 50 or better produced a profit with 1 coin in within the first dozen or so hands. As soon as I switched to 5 coins in, every one went into a downward spiral. Giving up on this, I planted myself on one of the few Double Down Stud machines and played either regular deuces or Bonus Deuces wild, hoping to dig myself out of my 800- experiment. Luckily with just a few minutes remaining in my gaming day, I pulled two Wild Royals which returned all but 100- of the 800- sinkhole. Bailed out and thanked my not so lucky stars for the last minute gift.

Ok I was in vegas 10 days because my mom lives there.. we stayed at the Gold Coast because it is close to my mom. We mostly played at the Gold Coast.. don't know how many hands we played.. I will say that my husband did get one rf on nickles... big deal ! The first day there I sat down with my coffee and played a game called Three Kings and low and behold I ended up with 550.00.... it is 1.25 max and if you can get into the bonus you always make some money.. but this morning it retriggered 4 times and I had over 200 spins.. the interesting part was for the next 9 days that machine did nothing! and I mean nothing.... On VP I did get a few and I mean a few of 4 of a kinds. but not enough to say so.... it was just plain ugly... I did better on penny machines...but still all and all with the 2 of us we didn't do well at all....

Where did you play at? Next time try playing downtown. Or try one of the station properties. I have retired from playing VP myself.

Nobody really wants time to fly. In that case, never retire and play video poker...Olds...

wow the Gold Coast!!?? Even though its on the Strip, usually the Gold coast has decent gaming on all fronts, tables and slots/VP......I am dismayed you did so horrendously there, because in my current state of mind, where I tend to think of Vegas & Nevada-in-general as the last bastion where we can find "FAIR" video poker, and yet the results you got were EXACTLY like what I regularly experience in AC....I agree with the person who says to try and play downtown......Fremont Street and the immediate surroundings always seems to offer at least a little success every trip down there, and it just isnt as crazy or bogus as the Strip!

Gold Coast is not on the strip. It is about a mile away across from Rio and also across from the Palms.
