Billyjoe, I applaud you for enjoying life. I have no idea how you accumulated your personnel nest egg that allows you to do what you do and it is none of my business either. As long as it does not take food off the table, or keep bills from being paid, or create a conflict with other aspects of your life that are important to you, I would say keep doing what you are doing.

I do not recall what you said your masters degree was in but I do not think there is one person on this forum qualified to tell you how to spend your money. By all means, please continue to enjoy your casino trips in the manner that you are accustomed to.

That sounds good Billy Joe. In my case, I like to finish up with a Hennessy Congac in the company of a beautiful, interesting, and intelligent female which in my case is my wife of 42 years. . I guess it is OK if she reads this post. ......Being from New England, we both love our seafood...In my case, I see food and eat it.

Although I appreciate the convenience and selections at a good buffet, to me, there are few things more enjoyable than being with someone you care about in a nice restaurant trying to decide between the twice baked potato or mashed potatoes as a side to your 24 oz. Delmonico.

Congratulation bj. Love seeing your hits and reading your stories. Good luck in Vegas.

Sweet C and I feel truly blessed that we can enjoy many things in life - playing video poker, a good meal, the incredible beauty of some areas of the world, being with our kids and especially our grandkids/great grandkids. We hope everyone can find their "own" pleasures in life and have the opportunity to enjoy those pleasures for a long time. Thats when you know you're "Lucky".

Roasted asparagus and baked potato with a little melted cheese and bacon on top sounds good to me.

WOW....those dreamcard hits sure do make me miss the Five Star machines!      I am so pizzzed off that Caesars AC ditched the four  FIVESTAR machines they had in favor of all the "new" crapola machines they have now.....Tell me something Billyjoe, when you played those 5-star Dreamcard machines, and got those hits, was it from one big long session or did you have multiple shorter sessions on the machine(s)?     I only ask because, one of the few bright spots I have had in Video Poker playing in AC over the last 5 years was on the Dreamcard game on the 5 star machines.    Those machines TRULY get "HOT" when it comes to Dreamcard, and you can get on a roll whereby the hands just pop up in dizzying fashion!      The best part of the 5 star Dreamcard game is it is SINGLE LINE......I can attest that the MULTI LINE version of Dreamcard is a veritable DEATH TRAP, even at the 25 cent level I play.......if I choose anything other than 3 line play (like say 5 or 10 line) my bankroll (typically 500-700 bucks per day, give or take) will be gone in half an hour or less!      At least with the Single line Version of dreamcard on the 5 star machines, you are only bleeding 10 credits a hand.Same goes for all the other "FUN GIMMICKY" games on the 5 star machine game selection menu.......games like Quick Quads and Goodtimes pay, all are single line on the 5 star as oppossed to the multi line monsters that lurk in many casinos.   They destroy Video Poker Bankrolls while denying us at least the "fun" of playing for a while before going bust!NICE HITS ALL THE SAME billjoo!

Thanks DB. Since I was staying at GoldStrike in Tunica, and the Five Star DreamCard was at RoadHouse, those hits came over two playing sessions during my stay. Each session was on a different day, and each lasted about 2 hours.

The problem with all the "gimmick' games AND multi line games is they run threw credits at a much faster rate. I think they increase the risk of ruin by enough that playing them is way over my bankroll. I have hit and ran X and STP on multiline 5c and 10c but anything above that is tough to play very long when your a single line 25c player. Dreamcard even single line is doubling what it costs to play...if you don't have the budget for the swings you are DOA. I played them all for a few trips when they first came out and hade losing trip after losing trip---I just do not have the bankroll. After switching back to single line 25c games I have been positive on 6/7 of my trips last 20 months or so. I play no where near the amount of hands most people on this forum play annually but that was a big difference for me.
