I'm totally neutral on the gun thing in Florida.  We have so many low lifes running around that I can see why someone would want a gun for protection.  On the other hand, we have people who will shoot you for eating pop corn too loudly in a theater.  I don't want one because I might shoot a cigar smoker one day and it's not worth the trouble.
While in the casino, I have no problem with the restrictions. Moving between casinos, however, is another story. The police cannot be everywhere, and having your armed robbery on surveillance tape is little solace.

Ted is probably right, though. I have seen signs banning both concealed and openly carried firearms at just about every casino that I have visited, Native American or not.

Except Vegas. I don't think I have seen a single sign there.

It's against state law in Missouri; I definitely would expect Illinois to follow suit if they haven't already. I don't think any Tunica casino allows them either, but I don't believe it's a state law.

As for how I feel about this restriction, I'm not sure. Because banning them really won't stop most of the people you would worry about having them in the casino in the first place. If everyone would magically abide by the rule, then it's a no-brainer to have it.   [/QUOTE]
I've seen "No Firearms" signs posted at every casino in Illinois that I go to. As for Nevada, individual businesses have the right to prohibit "deadly weapons" but they have to post the prohibition at the entrance.
