Congrats on your continued ability to get all those royal flushes. Ability????   What about the impact of "positive thinking"?    Dont you believe that Larry and his mate simply WILLED the royals to appear?    Or is it just plain old LUCK, as you so bluntly told me in a different post several months ago???      Either way, congrats Larry....if there was a way I could send you 5 grand so you could play it for me for a nice fat commission I would.    ANy plans to visit AC before all the casinos simply disappear???????
Quit stalking me Daburglar. Just kidding. Welcome back to the forum. I do believe that if you go to the casino expecting to win you have a much better chance of winning. I do not know why this is the case. It goes against all logic. There are some people are just luckier than others. And I suspect that most people including myself lose a little in the long run. The best way to keep your losses at a minimum is to not dwell on it. When you spend too much time psychoanalyzing a losing streak you are going through, and we all have them, it only makes things worse.

Nice hits! But definitely want to hit and run that game. 2nd Royal I've seen someone hit on a 95% game though this week.    My neighbor pulled a nickel royal on a 5-play of 6/5 JoB Sunday night at Tunica Roadhouse. I could be wrong, but it might be the worst paytable they offer in the casino.

If we could "will" them then I be able.... and "retire" in a style I'm not accustomed too.

My recommendation is to take the $5K and invest in a good Vanguard mutual fund. It has a better "long-term" return than my gambling return.

We'd love to someday make an AC run but we can't even seem to get back even to Vegas - too much going on in life. We've just spent 5 months providing intensive daily care to Sweet C's mom who passed and now we're dealing with the aftermath. So the Canada trip to visit our son and our quick get-aways have been a blessing.

yes  Even though I have not met either you or your wife (yet), and never knew the mother, you have my prayers.....family and life obviously trumps silly things like Video Poker!!!Whenever you get things in order where it is possible to come to the east coast, let me (and the forum) know.    Clearly you are a person well worth the time and effort the actually meet and share tales of life, liquor and lots of jackpots!   I actually feel that way about everyone here, even Doris who hates my guts.   I'd still like to meet her though, if only to get her to see that my guts are no better, or worse than anyone elses'!!!!

Condolences and prayers go out to you folks. I am caring for two cherished elderly folks as well. I realize every day is a gift and that goes for all of us.
