To qualify for the Seven Star contest do you have to earn 7 stars this month or if you have at least 7 stars now you are also qualified?

From the latest newsletter:Starting
September 1st, you'll have a chance to qualify for an exclusive 5 day
contest with multiple rounds and $500 in prizes. This tourney will be in
addition to our Daily and Weekly Contests and will occur each month,
featuring a different game.

details are to come, but all members will have a chance to earn 7 stars
during the first three weeks of each month. Stars will be earned based
on your amount of play, the number of achievements you have earned, and
how many days you play during the month. Only members that have earned 7
stars in a month will qualify for the tourney.

I have earned 7 allready and there are 15 others that I could earn. Given that 3 are tied in to winning in the Tournament of Champions (which has not taken place yet) and 3 are tied in to winning in the monthly contests makes it highly unlikely that I will be playing in the Seven Star contest. Frankly the odds are better that I will be meeting my friend in Atlantic City for a beer.

Yes, it will be an opportunity for those who play a lot to take part in a more exclusive tournament.Tedlark, 7 stars does not mean 7 achievements. The number of achievements you have will be one factor in determining your star level, but it's not a 1:1 ratio.For example, 4 achievements = 1 star. The remaining stars will be earned by playing a given number of hands per star, and playing a given number of days on the site within the month.You won't have to hold any achievements to qualify, but it will require a lot of play without them. The more achievements you have, the fewer hands you will need to qualify.
