NSU Deuces wild
I was reading Bob Dancer's website and he kept referring to this. Can't figure out what game it stands for.

NSU Dueces....Not So Ugly Deuces Wild. This is the DW game with 25/16/10 paytables (25 is for RF with wild card, 16 for 5ok, 10 for Straight Flush). The return on this game is 99.728% which is just short of "full pay" thus the nickname Not So Ugly Deuces or NSUD for short.

This game came out after the version of the game that is 800/25/15/9/4/4/3/2/1 which was called "ugly ducks". It is now generally referred to as airport deuces or Illinois deuces. When the game above came out that paid 16/10 it was then nicknamed with the "not so" added in front.

Thanks. I have never seen "ugly ducks" or NSU deuces. I am going to Vegas and Tahoe in October and wonder if the casinos there have the game. Do I recognize it by the paytable or does it say ugly ducks.

That would be great, but no, it's just a nickname that people came up with. You need to know the paytable to recognize it.

Webman is right. These nicknames were created by players. However, I have seen the reference to NSUD in both IGT and casino literature. It's kind of an interesting situation when you think about it.

Has anyone played them in Vegas and if so, what casino? Is it part of a game king choice. I don't ever recall seeing this payout. I was just in AC on Monday and played a few different deuces wild machines but none with this payout.

I have seen quite a few off-strip in Las Vegas. Check the VPfree data pages for more info.
