August 2014Biloxi Visit
Just returned from a weekend in Biloxi. Had a terrific time. A lot of new, unique experiences.
I played in a BlackJack tournament. The lowest chip denomination of the play money was $500. I was doing well, but then missed advancing to the next round by, you guessed it, $500 - one lousy chip !!
The weather was a bit stormy, and I only got to complete one full round of golf. We were called in after 3 holes on the other round, due to the lightning and heavy rain.
I had wanted to do the fishing charter freebie this past weekend, but they were booked solid. It was a blessing, though, since it was really stormy, and they cancelled the charters anyway.
Had some wonderful dinners during the visit, including steak and lobster at my favorite, BR Prime. On another night, I had my first visit to The Beau's Asian restaurant, JIA. Had a fantastic meal, sampling some Ginger Prawns and Pad, a Thai noodle dish with shrimp.
The gaming for me, however, yielded poor results. In spite of good company and tasty bourbon, the good hands alluded me for the most part. Here are the few highlights..
This was actually at Harrahs Gulf Coast, with a max denom of fifty cents on this Super Triple Play machine. It was only about my 10th hand, and I was still playing through some FreePlay (note the Tier Credit of 00) when it hit.
This was scored by a VERY attractive lady from Texas while at The Beau..

My last trip to HGC was awful. While they have better paytables. I usually have to go down to the Beau to win anything.

Nice royal hit on your free play. Too bad rest of gambling did not go as well. You usually have a photo-op with a nice looking woman. What happened this time?
