It seems hands played/top scores on Shockwave games (e.g. Ace Invaders, Multi Strike) aren't counted?

Correct. The games that do not track Players Club points will also not earn points towards stars. We'll need to clarify that somewhere. Those are operated by a 3rd party and we have no way of communicating with those particular games.
