I would just tell them that I'm friends with: "The One and Only Billyjoe" and the world would then be my oyster. Velvet ropes would part; champagne would flow; angels would sing, and then I'd wake up from my dream.

Today's thought: HOW could we collect a big win OR get back on a plane without a driver's license or other picture ID? OR re-enter the USA.
I came close to finding that out in Vegas a few years ago. I had gone to the Caesars' hotel gym (I know - shocking ), and had put my driver's license in my gym shorts, since back then they did not have photos on 7Star cards. Afterwards, I went downstairs to play, hit a hand-pay, reached in my wallet - no ID.
Luckily, the floor manager knew me, and paid me. I scurried to my room to see if I dropped my ID there, and luckily, found it in my quite smelly gym shorts.

Ted, in reality, using my name in Chicago will just get you a trip to "The Heights", where "The Boys" will probably beat the crap out of you strictly on principles.

Actually the Heights is relatively tame now. Back in the 70's and early 80's it was more mobbed up and about 1/2 the police force was on the take. I did have to mail back to myself a pocketknife that I forgot to pack in my checked baggage at McCarran once. I saw what was going on with the mail kiosks that were by the TSA checkpoint , really expensive and could take up to 3 weeks to get it back, and a nice TSA officer told me I could go over to the Mirage store and they would mail it back to me. I went down there and it was about 4 bucks to mail it and I had it in 2 days.

Nothing for me. Don't care for jets. I rarely fly unless I have to. However, give me a paper and wood WW1 Biplane and I'll be happy and will go up every day given the opportunity. In case you forgot, I come from Bizarro World.

It was prob on this site that someone related having their picture CostCo card accepted for ID at an airport when they could not find their Driver's License. That would be one card I removed from my wallet so I would not use/lose it on the trip! Perhaps my swim pass with my name and photo on it would also suffice. That's another card I remove from my wallet before flying away! Tks for your responses, Ted and billy.

Forgot to leave a pocketknife at home once and handed it over. It was a nice one with a bottle opener, a corkscrew and a foil cutter too. Mrs. Minn has finagled her way past TSA with various cosmetics, including a jar of shea butter she convinced the agent was less than however many ounces...
