Thanks for the info Wilcox. I'm looking to head down to either Grand Victoria or Argosy -- I live between dayton and cincinnati so I don't want to drive too far.

Sounds like OhioBob really likes Grand Victoria better. Do you have any feedback on either of these two casinos? Do they both have full pay machines?

Thanks!

Mudfrog I have not played at either. Let me know which is better as I love to play at new casinos once in awhile especially to see what they will offer in future returns.

Mudfrog..I do like the Grand Victoria better and drive time for you to it would only be 20 minutes more? This link will give you a list of best games at  each casino http://members.cox.net/vpfree/M.htm  after that you just have to locate them in the casino! I Like DDB 10/6/40 at Grand Vic but they only have a single line game at full pay.Which brings up the question ...is a 99.9% pay out a full pay machine?

Yes. 9/6JOB at 99.54% is considered to be the lowest % "full-pay" machine.

There are several games where the full pay version is still a negative game. I tend to ignore the "full-pay" designation as it really means very little. Personally, I try to play games where the overall return (payback+cashback+bounceback) is greater than 100%.

How about some nice 7/5 JOB or 6/5 DDB?  That's what I faced last night down in Oklahoma.  I played $45 through the machines at nickel denomination and of course lost.  It's amazing that you can go through 1,700 credits and never hit a quad!  That has nothing to do with the pay tables, but does raise eyebrows when it comes to secondary programming!  I trust those OK casinos about as far as I can throw a fit! Now, with that said about the VP in Oklahoma, the suit in the BJ pit told me that last week a guy hit back to back Royal Flushes in DDB at the quarter level.  Then he pointed the guy out (he was playing again).  I sat down and struck up a conversation with him and he confirmed the back to back Royals.  But, he said he'd already lost it playing the same machines! All that took only about 45 minutes.  I spent the other 5 hours we were down there watching suckers pay $.50 a hand to bet $2.00 on Blackjack tables!

I would pass on those games. I'd find a golf course to take my money instead.

I've had over 2K hands w/o quads a few times so it is not that uncommon.

Golf is tomorrow <LOL> But, I'd have done better playing after dark on a golf course than at those machines!

A 1,700 credit dry spell isn't that common, but it isn't that rare either.  I have some of those every year, even at places where I'm otherwise happy with what I'm hitting.
