Back in business

Post by olds442jetaway »

Hi gang. Have been out of commission for awhile since my old Dell noteback crashed and is not worth fixing this time. I will have to catch up on reading the posts etc. I got a new HP pavilion courtesy of Mohegan Sun, but I am sure I paid for it many times over. I am just learning some of the basics expecially windows 8 which I find difficult. Really miss the xp.
I had one interesting trip up there on an overnight and came back yesterday afternoon. Sunday night was mostly losing playing Double Down Stud, Deuces Wild, and Job. Had some nice dinner though and chat with freinds etc.
I only had an hour to play on Monday before obligations at home called. Deuces was still bad so I switched to Joker Kings and immediately it started hitting. Within the hour it hit 7 quads, a wild Royal, and a straight flush. Not enough for a complete bailout, but put a sizeable dent in. The best hit playing Martingale clone was the Wild Royal. I had sixteen quarters in on that one. I held a lone joker and pulled the Wild Royal. Almost makes one think if the real Royal would have appeared if the joker wasn't there even though one has nothing to do with the other.
I tried Fla Phil's method on Sunday night and this time nothing really good happened. It is a good method to stick with though if budgets are a concern. I always give it a shot for a couple of hours. Hope I can get used to this new system. I am no computer geek by any means.

Olds, I was also an XP fan. When I had to migrate, I went to Win7 rather than Win8. I am very pleased with it.

If Win8 is not fun to use, you may want to consider backing up to Win7. I know a lot of folks that have done just that.

Welcome back Olds; the forum has been completely stagnant without you.    All kidding aside, good luck with your new computer.

My condolences on windows 8. But it's still better than no computer.
