personal safety

I am reading more and more stories of casino patrons, who are being followed out of the casino by a##holes, who are robbing them and causing them bodily harm. I think we all need to be aware of our surroundings, especially if you have had a good night. I am just reading an article on NEWSDAY NY, about an 88 year man who won $1k and was followed for 1 1/2 hours on subway and bus and then heldup. Fortunately, he was not hurt badly. They did get catch the bad guy, but, everyone, please be careful.

Good advice for all to follow no matter where we are. I have lots of practice in this area. Not in winning, but working in Bridgeport, Ct. and surrounding areas for 35 years. Also helps to be in decent physical shape and carry yourself properly. They almost always go for the weakest and most helpless folks. There was a really brazen incident at Mohegan a couple of years ago. A robber on foot got into the elevator at about 6 am with a patron. Didn'e even care about the camarea. Got away on foot and eventually out of camera range. They never got him as far as I know. Probably headed for the river bank so the dogs couldn't track him so easily.

It happens more often with head to head hold'em poker players. You win money from your opponents minus a little that the casino rakes, there were stories on the news where one person won from a thug and got chased after.

It is the main reason I will not play hold'em poker at a live casino but rather play against the house.
