You only need one quad on Bonus Deluxe.

You only need one quad on Bonus Deluxe.

Post by olds442jetaway »

This is a nice simple little system I came up with when you want to just chill out, have a few beers and maybe conversation, and avoid the usual intense play that most of us get sucked into.
I wanted to call it the Vman method, but I'm not sure Vman will play it. It is great for beer or gas money and you only have to hit one quad on Bonus Deluxe to make something. So far, I have used it 3 times with success and not been skunked.
If you can find a quarter 9/6 Bonus Deluxe game good. If not 8/5 or 7/5 will have to do. Drop in a twenty and just play 1 quarter until you hit a quad which will give you 80 for one. If you get a quad by playing just one quarter before your twenty is gone, you will be on the plus side.
If the machine eats your twenty and you haven't hit a quad yet, drop in another one only this time play two quarters until you hit one or that twenty is gone also. You will only last half as long with this bill, but hitting just one will put you in the black.
Part 3 is optional. If the machine has eaten up both twenties and not given out a quad yet, drop in another twenty and play 3 quarters. Play until you hit one quad and you will be in the black. If the worst scenario happens and the machine eats up your third twenty, without giving up a quad, forget it. You will be out sixty bucks, but probably have played quite a few hours. On part 3, I like to play 5 instead of 3 in case the Royal hits, but you won't last as long so 3 is probably better. If you hit with 5 in, that is a hundred bucks on this game. To last even longer, anytime your credits give you more than you had when you started playing say with the second bill, drop back to playing one unit to last longer. This game requires very little concentration, no adding or subtracting to see where you are etc. You could almost play it blindfolded. If there is a nickel option in your area for this game, play the same way just start with 5 nickels so you will catch the right amount if a Royal hits. I will post back when I get skunked on this and how many hours I lasted before losing the sixty bucks. Have fun and good luck.

very interesting.....I'm not sure I will do it myself, but for certain players I think you have something here that might be worth a diversion from the norm, especially if you are running cold.Personally, my only REAL experience with BPDX was during a 8 month stretch from early 2012 thru August of that year......in Caesars AC when they had a bank of four 5 star Poker machines, I played the single line 25 cent dreamcard BPDX extensively, and did have one ridiculous hot streak over a couple months where I hit a crapload of quads and got the 400 credits on max bet....kept me in th eblack so long that eventually I was dreamcarded a couple royals (note that this actually took place all on the same single machine in the bank of four......for whatever reason, Machine #3 in the bank of four was like a virtual ATM machine for a while.....I hit a number of other hands playing other games on the 5 star menu, like a royal on Quick Quad-single line where I was dealt three to a royal and hit it.) But soon after the summer ended in 2012, the 5 star machine(s) all went as cold as Polar Bear poop and stayed that way until they removed the machines altogether and went to Server based games.    I mean NOTHING came up after August 2012!!!       if I had to conjecture in conspiracy mode, here is how I read what happened:  Caesars went in and LOOSENED the machine(s) in early 2012 in anticipation of REVEL opening up in early May, and then when Revel proved to be a complete NON-threat incompetent casino, Caesars went and set the machines back into the frosty zone.       What proof do I have?  Only my ridiculous results and the play results of a few freinds and relatives who seemingly also were winning much more often than normal at Caesars during the summer of 2012......that's it.  DO I really believe that?   Well, not really, but until someone somewhere can prove beyond ANY doubt it did not happen that way, I will not dismiss 100% my "conspiracy" theories.....afterall, I freely admit, they are THEORIES

And that is just what I am using this for now since I am in a crazy almost beyond belief cold streak. In the meantime, I am still enjoying the rest of the casino experience up at Mohegan until the ice breaks or at least thaws a little. I think part of that super storm headed our way already got to my play. In the meantime, everyone have fun and stay well.

Ignoring which game has a better paytable, I do like this method more than doing a similar thing on deuces wild that's for sure.

But generally I wouldn't do this because I've waited so long for a royal now and where I play always has nickel options unlike Phil, and I'd like to be betting 5 to get paid off with a royal unless I have a good reason not to. That reason for not playing 5 usually involves a bad bartop and "free" booze.

I've never been there obviously, but I'm a little surprised that beau rivage or any of these Florida casinos don't have nickel stp games anywhere to low roll on and still be eligible to get the full royal. Nickels of these games exist at all the swanky vegas casinos. Well except Venetian/Palazzo because Adelson is a douchebag.

These types of strategies are collectively called negative progressions (increase in bet when you lose). The most famous system is called the Martingale system. What they do is increase the variance of a game. You win more sessions but when you do lose, your losses are bigger (relative to your wager size).

For many people this is a good trade-off. For others the big losses are a problem.

Agreed. That is why I cut it off at a loss of 3 twentys. So far so good. Will report back eventually on how many trials before a failure.

When you hit that Royal, save up some of it for the Ct. trip and besides free beer and drinks for gf, I will work on 2 free nights rooms for you guys. I think I can arrange that unless Mohegan goes belly up first due to the upcoming competition. Hope not.

I appreciate the offer. G/f is demanding Disneyworld first though...we've went to Vegas too many times since the last time we visited Florida.
